“Hope refuses to accept Jake as her brother or have anything to do with him while Marissa tries to sedu¢e Gabriel using Jake as bait”.
Ellice becomes angry and tries to approach Marissa but Gabriel stops her and tells Marissa to leave. Ellice said Marissa should stay maybe she wants to explain herself. Marissa said she’s only there because she has been invited to come. Ellice tells her that she has already warned her to stay away from her family or is that really hard for Marissa to understand.
Marissa tells Ellice it’s not wrong to introduce her son to his father’s family or maybe her presence reminds her of her husband’s infidelity. Ellice tells her that if she’s hoping that she can use her son to win Gabriel over then she better thinks again because she’s his wife.
Marissa asks Gabriel if he didn’t tell Ellice that he was planning to leave her for her and now that she’s back they would see how strong her family and relationship really is. An angry Ellice tries to fight Marissa but Gabriel stops her and tells them to stop it because they’re with the kids.
Sonya tells Ellice that she invited Marissa and Jacob because they’re family, Jacob is Carmelita’s grandson and he’s her nephew.
Carmelita tells Marissa that she’s welcome there because she’s Jacob’s mother but she shouldn’t cause any trouble.
Sonya also said it’s their dad’s birthday and if he were alive, he would have wanted to see Jacob his grandson so she did the right thing. Marissa thanks Sonya for inviting her, she also calls Carmelita aunt but Carmelita corrected her that it’s Miss Villarosa. Marissa continues that she came there as a person but in return they’ve treated her like an aπimal as she leaves.
Lucing apologizes to Carmelita about Marissa’s actions but Carmelita tells her not to worry as she leaves. Lucing catches up with Marissa telling her she’s unbelievable and no matter how many years she disappears she is back to ruin a happy family who took care of her mother because she hasn’t changed.
Marissa tells her mom that she is the real victim because she has no idea what happened and Ellice was the one who put a hit on her and that’s the reason why she went into hiding for close to two decades shocking Lucing and also she has go with her. Lucing refuses to go with Marissa since she believes Ellice is innocent of all her accusations as Marissa leaves.
Hope arrives home crying and scattering things in her room as she flashes back to all her encounters with Jake. Later, Gabriel, Ellice and Lucing also arrive home. Gabriel tells Ellice that he didn’t know Marissa would be there and if he knew they wouldn’t have gone there.
Ellice tells him not to think about her anymore but Hope and she is hurting again because of Jake since she is the first person she got close to and it turns out they are siblings and Marissa didn’t think twice about hurting them and ruining their family.
Gabriel tells her that he will fix it and he promises to settle things with Marissa as he hugs Ellice while Lucing looks at them as she flashbacks to what Marissa just told her. She soliloquies that why is Ellice so afraid of Marissa or is it because she really did something to her.
At night, Lucing apologizes to Hope and asks for her forgiveness for not telling her everything that she knows. Hope said she understands that it isn’t her fault. Lucing tells her that her heart can’t take it anymore because her own daughter ruined the relationship of her parents.
Hope said she knows she did everything she could to stop Marissa and there is nothing more she could have done and Lucing l*ved and took good care of her just like her own grandchild and that’s more than enough for her. Lucing said no matter what she’s still her grand daughter as they hug.
At the Condo, Marissa serves Jake some food but he stands up and Marissa asks him what’s wrong. Jake flashbacks to his earlier talk with Hope saying the first first person she trusted is the same person who’s ruining her life and she hat£s him.
Marissa says she told him not to fall in l*ve with her since it will make everything more complicated. Jake says he’s not in l*ve with her and he can’t be either because she thinks he’s her brother. Marissa said that if it’s stays that way and they must not find out he’s not the real Jacob as Jake cries and Marissa leaves.
The Next day, Hope and Jake are at the library looking for books for their next project. Jake asks Hope of which book he’s supposed to use but Hope tells him that she doesn’t need to tell him everything and they don’t need to act like they are friends and besides their project deadline is approaching. Jake tells her that he knows their families aren’t in a good terms but he hopes the two of them could be okay as siblings.
Hope tells him that he isn’t her sibling and she doesn’t have traitor brother like him and he is nothing to her and their previous relationships as friends doesn’t mean nothing because he threw that away the moment he broke her trust so he shouldn’t dare ask for her forgiveness or tell her to accept him as her brother because she doesn’t deserve that and he’s just her partner for the project nothing else and as soon as they finish the project she wants nothing to do with him while RJ eavesdrops on them as Jake looks at her.
On the phone, Gabriel’s friend Enzo tells Gabriel that if he’s in the same situation he wouldn’t know what to do and he asks of how Ellice and Hope are doing. Gabriel said they’re not taking it well especially Hope who is mad at him. Enzo tells him that he’s very sorry that Sonya did that to him and wants to apologize on her behalf but Gabriel tells him not worry because she’s his sister and he is used to it.
At the college canteen, Chari can’t believe Jake is Hope’s brother because just a few days ago Hope was crying that she and Jake are only friends and now she’s telling her that he’s her brother. Hope says the worse part is that he knew but she can’t understands why he made her fall in l*ve with him knowing that they’re siblings.
At Ceñidoza, Ellice holds a meeting, she tells them that there is a mole in her company so whoever wants to destroy what her dad worked hard to build then that person will face the consequences as Cesar looks at her while she questions other workers.
At the office, Gabriel tells Sonya that she should have informed him that she will be inviting Marissa and Jacob but Sonya tells him that if she had told him then he wouldn’t have come and besides what’s wrong with inviting Marissa and Jacob because they’re part of their family too and it was good to see his son after so many years but Gabriel tells her she didn’t need her to make a decision for him.
Gabriel tells her that she doesn’t want his children to drift apart from him like she and Heidi. Sonya tells him to leave her daughter alone but Gabriel said she’s the one who is mendling with his family. Sonya tells him if he wants to visit his son then they still live in the same condo as she leaves.
At La Sierra, Tutti tells Marissa that she never expected everything to blow up like that. Marissa tells her not to worry because once Ellice goes down Ceñidoza will go down with her and she will go after Gabriel next. Tutti asks how she will do that because it’s already in the past. Marissa tells her that Gabriel still has special feelings for her and she will use her son as Tutti praises her.
At college, the students gossip about Jake and Hope being siblings in class as Hope, Charie, Jake and Alfred arrive. Jake becomes frustrated about what’s going on in the classroom. Charie shows Hope a picture spreading which shows they are siblings and she said the secret is out while Alfred and Jake look at the same picture on the phone.
Later, Gabriel visits Jake at home. Jake asks what brings him there calling him uncle but Gabriel said it’s okay if he doesn’t want to call him daddy. Jake said if he’s after Marissa, she will be home late but Gabriel tells him that he really came to see him and ask him how he’s doing.
Gabriel smiles saying he is all grown up because the last time he held him in his arms, he wasn’t even this old and he is really happy he’s back calling him Jacob but Jake corrected him it’s Jake as Gabriel hugs him.
Hope arrives home and greeted Lucing but ignores Ellice who calls her saying she understands why she is hurting since everything came as a shock to her and she is sorry she found out in the worst possible way.
A crying Hope tells her that she wished to have found out earlier that way he wouldn’t have trusted Jake and his mom.
Ellice promised her that she will do everything to stop Marissa from taking her father from them and she should trust her that she won’t let that woman ruin their family again as Hope leaves while Lucing looks at them. Elsewhere, Jake serves Gabriel a glass of wine as Marissa arrives surprised to see Gabriel there. Gabriel said he only came to see Jake and decided to leave. Marissa intentionally draws closer to him and tells him that she’s glad he came to see his son and Jake is so handsome just like his father. Gabriel tells her she is leaving.
Marissa asks him if he will like to join them for dinner. Gabriel looks at Jake and says he has to leave. Marissa asks him why or is it because Ellice doesn’t know he’s at her place and looking at the scene Jake opens the door for Gabriel to leave.
Afterwards, Marissa gives Jake a brief description about how they used to call themselves partners and ask him if he likes Gabriel. Jake said he had liked him before but now everything feels too awkward but he has to spend more time with him and eventually call him dad even though he is not. Marissa said that’s the whole point and it’s all part of their plan because if he doesn’t get close to him then all their hard work will be for nothing.
Gabriel arrives home late. He tells Ellice that he visited Jake after work. Ellice tells him that she’s trying to understand the new set up but she can’t help it knowing that anytime he goes to visit his son he will also see Marissa but Gabriel assures her he is only doing it for Jake. Ellice said she really hopes he keeps that promise for his daughter Hope’s sake while Hope spies on them from afar.
The Next Day, Gabriel decided to take Hope to college but she said she’s all grown up to go alone. Gabriel says he knows she’s upset with him but she should let him make it up to her as Ellice looks at them and signals Hope who accepted it. Gabriel thanks Ellice as they leave.
Marissa goes to meet her mom to talk to her. Lucing said if she’s there to explain herself then fine but if not then they have nothing to talk about. Marissa said she knows her mom is angry at her and she understands her but grandson Jacob wants to know her and they are still living at their old condo as Lucing leaves.
Gabriel and Hope arrived at her college and Gabriel said he hopes she doesn’t get upset with him since he will be visiting Jake from time to time but it doesn’t mean he is choosing him over their family and they are siblings. Hope makes it clear to Gabriel that she doesn’t have a brother and doesn’t want to have anything to do with him or his mistress.
Gabriel says he understands how difficult it is and it will take a long time but hopes she will soon accept Jake as her brother as Hope gets out of the car. Hope sees Jake standing near the car, she stares at him for a while and leaves.
