“Edward is diagnosed with Traumatic Brain Injury and William sees it as an opportunity to make him a drug addi¢t and take over his position at the company.
At work, John asked Grace if she is okay and she said she is just worried about Edward since it looks like he is now sensitive to light and she is very worried about him.
Edward introduces William as that VP of operations. During the speech of William, Edward collapsed and Anton asked them to call an ambulance.
John tells Grace to not worry because Edward is super healthy and he is very sure he will give her a lot of babies so she should cheer up.
In the Ambulance, William calls Grace to inform her about what happened to Edward as she rushes there with Diana. Edward is surrounded by his parents and William who informs Grace that Edward is still unconscious but they have no idea what’s wrong with him.
The doctor informs them they still need to run some more tests to see if what happened to Edward is connected to the injury he suffered before. Grace tells Stella to not worry because Edward will be safe.
Grace then visits a church begging God to save Edward’s life when Willam comes there and Grace asks if there are any updates of Edward. William said no news yet but he only came to check up on her and he knows they are worried about Edward but passing out is not a good sign because he heard you can have a severe illness but Grace tells him to not say that since Edward will okay.
William said he just doesn’t want to give her any false hopes, Grace believes Edward will be okay and William stares at her telling her not to get upset with what he said.
William brings Grace to the ward and meets his parents and Diana in front of the door. William and Grace asked if there is any news but the doctor said Edward has what we call traumatic brain injury(TBI) and there are sometimes the symptoms will take days to manifest.
William asks what the chances are that Edward will recover and the doctor said as long as he doesn’t show any more symptoms and the treatments will be based on his symptoms.
Grace speaks to a bedridden Edward remembering how they met and all the times they spent together and his promise to never leave her, luckily Edward regained consciousness and Grace turned happy.
His parents are happy Edward has regained consciousness and he said it’s all because of Grace that he is awake now and fine but Anton reminds him he is not fine since he has to be under observation for 48 hours and the doctor said he should rest his body and brain so it’s best if he relax as William looks at them from afar.
Stella said William is there so Edward should let him handle the company for now as William chips in that he can do that. Grace also said she, John and the associates will handle the law firm so he rest. William says that he can’t say no this time because they are just concerned about his health so he should just accept it.
Edward agrees saying he is doing it for Grace because if he goes on the break he and Grace will plan their wedding and Grace tells him to take one step at a time as William looks at them jealously.
At home, Cherie tells William who would have thought that a well respected lawyer and president of their company has a brain damage and William said it is a brain injury so there is a difference and they should see how things turn out in their favor.
Grace researches on her laptop about brain injury and its symptoms as Marissa and Nina look at her. At home, Edward is in a lot of pain and takes his pills.
Later, Edward dresses up for work as Grace waits for him. Stella insists he rests some more because the doctor said he shouldn’t stress his brain but Edward said he has to be at work. Grace tells him to listen to his mom.
Edward tells her it’s been a long time since he was discharged from the hospital and even though there are minor headaches it’s manageable and he will be fine so he can make his own decisions because the company really needs him and he needs to plan their wedding.
A lady visits the law firm asking for their service since she is always abu$ed by her partner. Grace, Edward and John listen to her and Edward seems to be in a lot of pain as his solutions to the lady’s problems are not helping.
Grace gives a better solution as they all turn to attend to Edward who is in a lot of pain. They bring him to the hospital and William comes rushes there saying that he came as soon as Grace told him.
Grace asked the doctor if the painkillers are not helping Edward anymore and he said they are not effective anymore since the symptoms are becoming severe so gives him some tramad0l to help out his headaches.
Willam buys some pills and tells Cherie he wants to give it to Edward. Cherie asked what he wants to gain and William said he found a way to put him down and from his flashbacks we get to see that he saw Edward in pain in his office and sneaked in to change his bottle of pills with another dangerous medicine.
When Edward comes back to the office from the washroom he said he was just checking the side effects of the medicine and asked if he took his dose for the day, when Edward said no he helped him take the medicine he exchanged. Cherie asked what he really wants to achieve with that and he said he wants Edward to be in continuous pain so he can take his place and get him a more potent drug.
In a meeting at the company, William and Edward disagree about a deal. William said they could be a better deal but Edward insists he is the president of the company so he knows his numbers and data so they are finalizing the deal and tells him to work on it. William sees how much pain he is in and smiles.
Grace thinks of Edward while working so decides to call Edward to check up on him and Edward says he is in pain so Grace tells him to cancel his meetings and rest.
William goes to Edward’s office to ask if he is fine and Edward said he took his meds but it’s not working as William smiles. William tells him there is this medicine that their friend Phil used to take since he was in constant pain after a spinal cord surgery but after he took the medicine he could think straight and he felt better and it’s very effective but the doctors don’t prescribe it because it’s highly addictive.
Edward tells him he needs that medicine. William said he can’t let him take it because it’s too dangerous but Edward insists he needs that medicine as William remembers begging Edward for drugs then when he was in therapy but Edward refused telling him to control himself.
William tells Edward he remembered how he didn’t help him when he was in pain and that helped him a lot and that’s exactly what he is doing now and Edward said it’s a completely different case because he is not in therapy or an addict so he should help him but William leaves saying he won’t help him and smiles looking at him from afar.
The lady who wants to file a case against her partner tells Grace how he used to act after taking some drugs so Grace becomes worried and calls Edward who said he is not in pain anymore and hangs up on her.
Edward calls up Phil asking about the medicine. He then meets up with Phil for the medicine and takes it as he instructs Edward to take it once a day since it’s a special prescription and Edward gives Phil a cheque.
After Edward leaves, Phil calls up William and he tells him to keep supplying Edward that medicine and all he has to do is sit and watch how things unfold and from his flashbacks we get to see that he planned everything with Phil.
At home, William tells Cherie that now that Edward is on OXY he will experience the side effects and he will be able to think straight for a few hours then the medicine starts to wear off, Edward will start experiencing the side effects of becoming restless and angry.
Edward arrives at the law firm and behaves so coldly towards John, Grace meets him up at the conference hall and tries to check up on him but he begins shouting at her that he is fine and he has been working all his life and only because of this $tupid brain injury everyone is worried about him.
Grace said it’s just that he is acting differently and if there is any problem he should tell her so they discuss it but he shouts at her again saying he just told her what he is feeling so she should stop nagging him and leave him alone for a bit as he leaves and Grace cries while Joel is surprised to see Edward like that.
