In court, Kai testified she was in the ladies room when she heard the gunshot and it turns out she was really there since the cctv footage wasn’t tempered with so kai is declared not guilty to Lucy and Dana’s surprise. Lucy fumes that Kai was the one who shot Adam but jai tells her the show is over so she should drop her holy act.
The judge asks Lucy if she wants him to cite her for contempt as she turns angry.
At the station, Kai thanks Simon for his help and he assured her they will keep looking for Adam’s murderer and also harry. David offers to drive them home but Dana suddenly appears slapping Jia and starting a fight with David while leaving.
At the office Lucy tells Dana she guess they had no idea the reason behind that slap, Dana said they will die without knowing the reason because people like them don’t deserve an explanation. Lucy said they should enjoy Kai’s freedom while it last because that’s the only happiness they will get moving forward. Dana ask lucy if she’s really going to sell the company and what of the board but lucy said she will take care of the board but Dana must attend the meeting with the legal team so by the time they discover them or Attorney Marquez wakes up it will be too late and everything will be gone by then.
Dana said Manny won’t allow it but lucy said he can’t prevent something from happening if he doesn’t know about it, Dana ask if she is sure to give up everything but lucy said they are not given up anything but just starting a brand life and reap the fruits of their labor but she won’t move until she sees Jia and Kai suffering because he wants to see them miserable and left with nothing like the insects that they are.
Kai tells Jia she hopes the anger within them goes away and they should find a reason to always smile because of what Lucy and Dana keep doing since things are only getting worse after Adam’s death. Jia tells her once the investigations are over and Adam gets the justice he deserves then they will leave and start a brand knew life without Lucy and Dana’s interference remembering all they’ve been through.
Lucy and Dana talk to their Attorney about how soon he will be able to get the papers ready because majority have already agreed but Attorney Wilson reminds them Manny doesn’t agree since he wasn’t part of the board meeting.
Manny overhears a gossip about the company being sold. Lucy tells her Attorney she will talk to Manny and he has no choice but to agree to the sale so he asked if she’s certain and Lucy said the board already agreed it’s the best option.
Manny confronts Lucy and Dana about selling the company and asked why he wasn’t included. Lucy said it was an urgent meeting but he was out. Manny said he’s insulting him with what she’s saying because he was there with her and Adam when they started the company.
Dana tells him he will still be with them to the end so he should just agree to the sale. Manny said they all loved this company asking if she will just throw it away so Lucy should respect Adam’s memory and do the right thing but Lucy said they are doing the right thing so the sale will push through with or without him.
Manny calls the buyers of the company who confirmed the news and that they will employ their own people. Manny gets angry asking what about their employees so he did not build the company for years with Adam for that to happen so he won’t allow it since it’s not only Lucy and Dana who have a say in the matter.
A worker from Dragon Empires gets the information from Kai’s former landlord that their house was bought by Adam and she asked whose name is on the deed.
Manny calls the IT guy to protect Adam’s scheduled email to push through and he shouldn’t grant Lucy and Dana access so Adam’s will prevail since it’s the only thing that can save the company.
However, Manny gets to know the IT head was fired by Dana so he confronts Dana about Adam’s scheduled email that she made the IT head erase the mail and fired the IT head and that she has lost all sense of decency. Dana said it’s good she stopped it before the employees found out Adam appointed Jai as the next CEO and President and he’s such a traitor. Manny said that’s what Adam wanted but Dana said he should have advised Adam against it and why should everything go to the love child Jia and he should have protected their rights rather.
Manny tells her he protected them before but she and her mother’s bitterness is ruining everything and Dana said they are just claiming what’s theirs but Manny said Adam made the right decision because they don’t deserve to get anything he owned and maybe that will teach them a lesson.
In Adam’s office, Manny gets flashbacks about how he and Adam started Dragon Empires Builders. He tells himself Adam always made the right decision even with regards to his will so he will make sure his last will and testament holds.
Kai’s former landlord comes to inform her and Jia that a representative of Dragon Empires came around and demanded to have the deed of the house under Adam’s name and they looked at each other sad. Simon also comes to visit.
Manny remembers his earlier argument with Dana. Simon tells them once Adam’s will is still missing meaning the legal wife has right to even their house and Jai said they are going to take everything away from them.
Manny calls Jia to apologize and inform her that they didn’t honor Adam’s will because Adam turned over the company to her alone and she was appointed as the real president and CEO of Dragon Empires but Manny gets a heart attack during the call and collapse. Jai calls someone to check up on Manny in his office.
At home, Lucy gets flashbacks of talking to Manny earlier in Adam’s office with Manny telling him they need to tell everyone the truth and he’s done protecting them because Adam wants Jia to be the CEO so that is what will happen and Lucy said he’s crazy because she is in the right after dedicating her life to Adam and Dragon Empires only for his mistress and illegitimate child to get more than they deserves and it won’t happen because she will do everything to get what she really deserves.
Manny tells her Adam has the right to choose who will be his heir so she his conscience can no longer take their actions. Lucy asks what he will do now as he leaves.
Manny is found unconscious in his office. The news of Manny’s death spreads like wild fire.
Lucy tells Dana that Manny knew too much and he took all their secrets to the grave thankfully she didn’t have to lift a finger and their problems are all solved and even faith agrees with them that everything is theirs and she’s not attending Manny’s wake but meeting with the buyers to finally close the deal.
Amanda and Gab arrive for the wake but are refused from entering because they are banned. Jia and Kia arrived too and they are told they are also banned from the premises and the guard said it’s Lucy’s orders.
Lucy appears saying it’s her company and her rules, Amanda tells her they have shares in the company and they are just there to pay their respects to Manny unless she k!lled him so Lucy slapped her and a fight begins. Some police officers appeared saying they are there for Jia.
Jia is interrogated at the police station because she is the last person who talked to Manny before he died.
At the company Amanda tells the guard she wants to use the Ladies room for few minutes since it’s an emergency so he allows her to go in. In the ladies room, Adam spreads the rumors about their percentage when Dana appeared saying she’s not surprised and they should know Adam’s last will is no longer valid so they won’t let her or her son inherit anything and Amanda tells her to not be complacent.
Simon and his partner investigate Manny’s death and they find out his activities for that day. They also try to find out why Manny called the IT head to his office.
Simon visited Dana’s office to ask why she fired their IT head. Dana said they asked him to access Adam’s emails but he was inefficient that’s why. Simon then gets a call from his partner about finding the address of the IT head so he leaves.
At home, Lucy goes for some documents and gets to know Adam owns Kai’s house having a flashback of confronting Kai at her home. She gets angry saying Kai’s days are numbered in that miserable hole they call home.
Simon and his partner talk to the IT head but he worries they might stop him from getting future employment but after much persuasion he tells them Manny wanted him to maintain the schedule of Adam’s announcement but Dana made him delete it and it was an announcement stating that jia will be the CEO and president of Dragon Empires Builders but the email is gone now since he erased it and it can’t be recovered anymore.
Simon goes to talk to Jia and Kia. Jia confirms the IT head’s story that it’s exactly what Manny said before he had a heart attack but Simon said the email is gone now because it was erased on purpose and Kai said she’s sure Dana and Lucy had it erased. Jia said she is not after the position but who really k!lled Adam. Kai said her appointment probably gave the murderer a motive since it was a big position and Jia said she doesn’t believe Dana can k!ll Adam.
Amanda and Gab get a visit from the police to get their statements about the day Adam was murdered and they offered to help. Amanda said she was at the party all night with Manny before he announced Adam’s passing given them video to prove it and Gab said he was at the party too.
Simon asked if they have an idea who could have done that to Adam and Amanda said she suspects Lucy because she has been fighting a lot with Adam and that alone is enough motive for Lucy to commit the crime and blame Kai.
Amanda said Adam found out Lucy bought Jia’s baby so they had a big argument so even though Adam was married to Lucy he could have sent her to jail so that’s why Lucy shot Adam in his office and Lucy Wong is rotten to the core so they shouldn’t be deceived.
Lucy arrives at Kai and Jia’s house to kick them out since all of Adam’s properties are hers. She called the police to kick them out of the house dragging them out.
Amanda asks Simon if they saw a will on Adam’s desk and they said no she makes up a story about the will that Lucy and Kai were probably fighting over the will and lucy hid the will to make sure it’s never found because only Lucy has the motive to do such a thing since kai won’t do that because they got the biggest share.
Lucy kicks Kai and Jia out of the house telling them if they force the door open or break in she will have them arrested as she leaves and they just look on at her. Next Episode of Love Thy Woman 4th August 2022 Episode 40
