The Fake President Puts On An Award-winning Performance. Teddy Makes His Presence Felt. Clarisse Continues With Her Escape Plot While Hipolito Commences His Plans For The Drug Lab.
The episode begins with fake Oscar Mariano addressing the nation foremost by expressing his appreciation for all their support. Watching the live broadcast from the hideout, Diana feels that there’s something off with the president. Anyway, Mariano begins blabbering about how General Borja had gone into hiding with Cardo and his group after they had kidñappéd the daughter of Arturo.
He then declares that the authorities will stop at nothing to hunt down Cardo and his group and bring them to justice. Hipolito and Jacob also watch from the comfort of their safe house and they’re amused and impressed with Mariano’s performance.
After Arturo takes the stand to badmouth our favorite hero and his comrades, Teddy raises an objection as he states that the Agilas had been forced to flee because someone wanted them dead. Grandma Flora is pretty upset that they’re painting her beloved grandson as a criminal for the billionth time.
When Teddy asks the president for his opinion on his statement, Arturo interferes and cuts short the press conference. Later, James, Elizabeth and the others inform a frustrated Teddy about the plan to get closer to the president. Arturo has a talk with Lily regarding Cardo’s father-in-law, upset and worried because he could cause them problems.
With work done for the day, Cardo calls Alyana to ask of her whereabouts and she tells him that she would be home late because there’s another blasted meeting to attend. Clarisse strengthens her game by actually apologizing to Patrick and Earthworm for all of their conflicts. Patrick seems fooled already but Earthworm isn’t totally convinced.
Anyway, the Palace staff discuss the president’s appearance at the press conference, Lito reminisces on the past with Alyana and insists on driving her home. On the phone, Hipolito has a talk with Lily about Mariano’s laudable performance. Renato states that as long as Cardo remains in hiding and they’re able to manipulate the people, they would keep control of the entire country.
Patrick is all smiles as he witnesses how carefree and well-mannered Clarisse now is. Arturo calls a lackey of his and orders him to keep an eye on Teddy and then kidñap him if possible. Back at the hideout in Batangas, dinner is served to a couple of the guys at the hideout and Cardo decides to wait for his miserable wife so they can eat together.
The guys begin to talk about their first day on the job. Clarisse continues with her good girl act by helping Mrs. Mauring to prepare some cups of coffee to serve everyone. Hipolito and Jacob have a talk about how they’re important to Lily for the success of the drug lab. Renato states that they need to get their allies into the production department.
Cardo hangs out with his grandpa and converses with him as he awaits the return of his miserable wife. Speaking of, Lito bores us with some more of his and Alyana’s miserable childhood stories. Without warning, he offers to make arrangements for Alyana to have a company car and a driver but she turns him down.
In the meantime, Hipolito summons the doctor/chemist and asks him to work for him at the new drug lab that would be set up. The doctor gladly agrees for the right price and Renato reminds him of what would happen to him should he betray him. Meanwhile, Lito finally drops off Alyana and Bubbles and he hands the former some food for Cardo and his buddies.
Alyana thanks him before carrying on with Bubbles. Bubbles continues expressing her excitement over Lito’s unending generosity, and Alyana urges her not to tell anyone, especially Cardo, about her freaking conversations with Lito. They then head inside and the episode concludes as Cardo goes to have dinner with his miserable wife.
