Joyce Confronts Ronaldo In A Fit Of Rage & Lourdes Becomes Collateral Damage. Ronaldo & Kristine Have Joyce Arrested; Lawrence Comes To The Rescue.
Joyce and Noel went to the doctor to ask her to testify on Joyce’s behalf and say that she was not crazy. However, the doctor refused to, saying that Joyce was not well yet and that she was undergoing treatment. When Noel and Joyce left the doctor’s room, Joyce was devastated and was crying on Noel’s shoulder when Ronaldo appeared.
Joyce was overcome by all the things that had happened to her and she decided to take her revenge on Ronaldo right then. Joyce attacked Ronaldo as Noel tried to hold her back and Ronaldo defended himself. Kristine and Lourdes arrived then to the nasty scene and they both tried to defend Ronaldo from Joyce.
Joyce was labelled crazy, so she decided to put a lot of crazy tactics to her attack, even jumping on Ronaldo’s back. Kristine saw that the situation was escalating so she went to get the guards so that they could throw Joyce out of the hospital. While Kristine was gone, Lourdes tried to interfere with the fight, lost her footing and went tumbling down the stairs.
By the time she got to the landing, she was unconscious. The drama ceased there and Joyce realizing that she would be blamed for the nasty fall, took off. Lourdes was admitted and treated but unfortunately, the fall was very severe and the doctor said she had bruises on her back.
Kristine explained to Ronaldo that it meant that Lourdes might not be able to walk again. Kristine and Ronaldo were therefore determined to find Joyce so that she could pay for her crime. Noel did not know where Joyce was and when he tried to call her, she did not answer.The police even went to Joyce’s house but Imelda told them that Joyce was not there.
Joyce went to the office Ronaldo had given her and found Lawrence there. The guard who saw her go in called Ronaldo and told him that Joyce was there. Lawrence and Joyce got to talking and Lawrence told Joyce to tell her everything so that he could help her and Joyce asked him if he would still help her if he knew that she wanted to take revenge against his father.
Lawrence listened to her story about how Lourdes had fallen and still agreed to help Joyce. He asked Joyce to wait in the office while he went to get something to drink. As Lawrence was gone, Ronaldo and Kristine appeared with the police who arrested Joyce. When Lawrence returned, Joyce was already gone.
At the police station, Ronaldo and Kristine had filed a case against Joyce and wanted her locked up. Kristine had to be asked to leave because she said Joyce had ran away because she was guilty while Joyce explained to the police that she had ran because she knew the Castillos would twist the story to favor them. Lesley called Kristine to tell her that Lourdes was not feeling well so Ronaldo and Kristine left.
Lourdes was confirmed to have sustained serious injuries and at the moment cannot walk. She was discharged later but would undergo therapy to see if she would still walk. Meanwhile, Lawrence caught up with everyone at the station and although Imelda launched her word attacks, she calmed down when Lawrence said that he would help Joyce. Joyce hugged Lawrence and Noel did not look happy with the reunion. Lawrence got Joyce a lawyer and she was released.
Ronaldo’s lawyer called him to tell him that Joyce had been released because Lawrence had gotten her a lawyer and so Ronaldo went to confront Lawrence. They did not seem to agree that Joyce should stay in jail and so Lawrence decided to leave his house and would not stay no matter how hard Alejandra begged him. He told his lawyer friend that he believed Joyce since she was incapable of lying or even hurting someone.
During dinner at Joyce’s house, everyone was all praise for Lawrence. Imelda, Jason, Shakira all praised his efforts which drew jealous looks from Noel. Joyce made it worse when she said that she felt safer while with Lawrence that Noel suggested that she should not involve herself with Lawrence since it would only make their fight against the Castillos worse.
Ultimately, Ronaldo’ case against Joyce was dismissed. Lawrence and Joyce ran into Ronaldo and Kristine at the prosecution office and Ronaldo promised to make Joyce go to jail.
