Rita Refuses To Be Swayed By Peterson’s Act. Another Face-off Ensues Between Peterson & Tupe. Hannah Reconciles With Rita. An Enraged Peterson Attempts To Eliminate Tupe.
Rita turned down Khyle’s offer to resign from work so he could stay with her and help her out. When Raymond makes a similar offer not to resign from work but postpone his return there, Rita also dissuades him and urges him to go since he had already asked for leave.
Meggie won’t be able to stay back with her too because she has an outing with Simon. Rita understands and urges her to go and have fun. Everyone is worried about her since Peterson would be coming over when they’re not there.
Rita’s mother comes over and states that they shouldn’t be worried because she would be with her daughter. After a chitchat with Simon, Tupe approaches Hannah while she’s brooding by herself and he hands her a coin, telling her to make a wish.
Hannah merely says that she wants to go home. Peterson shows up at Rita’s new house to see Andrew and he takes advantage to hug Rita. In the meantime, Hannah confides in Tupe on how to handle løvë/relationship in difficult times. Tupe is glad when she asks to see his baby.
Back at Rita’s, Peterson gladly carries his newborn son in his arms. Eventually, he tries to impress Rita by telling her of how he had resolved the Vela Mines issue. Olivia is appalled to discover that her beloved son had given up the mines and returned it to the rightful owner.
In the meantime, Peterson talked to Rita about their situation and stated that he still wanted her back. Rita said he would allow him to see the baby according to a schedule. Tupe brought Hannah there because she said she wanted to see the baby and they ran into Peterson.
Peterson got mad when he saw Tupe and he demanded for him to get lost, adding that he was violating the contract they made. After Hannah gave him a piece of her mind, Rita told Peterson that she was also part of the agreement and would decide who was allowed to see her son.
She added that the terms of their agreement were bound to change since they were getting an annulment. Peterson calmed down and decided to leave without causing any trouble, so that Tupe and Hannah could see the baby, but not before threatening Tupe.
Peterson was furious and only let the issue go because he did not want to fight with Rita. He went into his car to vent and still hoped that Rita would go back to him. He however wanted to get even with Tupe. Speaking of, Tupe proceeded with his sister to see Andrew. Hannah was delighted at the sight of the baby and apologized to Rita for lashing out at her last night.
Rita says she understands because of the situation back then. They began to get along and Rita had Hannah carry the baby though she had been scared to do so initially. Itching for revenge, Peterson followed Tupe and shot him in his side. Peterson hurt his leg as he was fleeing.
Hannah and Simon were with Tupe and they rushed him to the hospital. Desperate to form a solid alibi,Peterson went to a club and asked them to say that he was there the entire evening in case anyone asked. He also covered up his wound. Rita was shocked to hear Tupe had been shot and she went to see him at the hospital.
Tupe was able to recover and the police went to see him when he woke up. They wanted to know if he could identify the person who shot him but Tupe said he had no idea. Hannah said she could only think of a stranger they had run into before Tupe was shot. Rita however suspected that it was Peterson who was responsible.Read Next Episode on When Love Burns Episode 33
