Delfin Is Taken Into Custody. Diana Gains An Ally In The Palace. Arturo Celebrates His Appointment With His Family. Camp Cardo Strive To Find A Way To Prove Delfin’s Innocence. Lily Fortifies Her Witchcraft.
The CIDG transport Delfin to camp Crame where he’s hounded by the nosey reporters for some comments. Grandma Flora and her family are left reeling from the tragic incident. Diana reveals the secret Delfin had been keeping from them regarding his situation, taking everyone by surprise. Cardo is particularly appalled and exasperated.
While Basco painstakingly has Delfin processed, Diana shocks everyone a second time by naming the first lady as the mastermind behind the conspiracy to frame our poor grandpa. At the Palace, Arturo makes his appearance to discuss his partnership with Lily. They plan to clean up the Palace and fill it with their minions.
Lily takes sick pleasure in the misfortune of Cardo and his family and looks forward to do even more damage. She then proceeds to take Arturo to see her miserable husband in his office. The Dalisay family and friends ponder over their misfortune and begin to wonder how to salvage the situation.
Teddy agrees to help Cardo by using his media influence to investigate Lily and help exonerate Delfin. President Hidalgo sits with Arturo to officially make him the offer to be his executive secretary, blabbering about how he was once an honourable judge. Arturo deliberately plays tough to get but eventually accepts.
Upon arriving home, he informs his family of the good news and they begin celebrating. A moment later, James calls Diana to ask her to meet up with him because he needs to tell her something important. In the meantime, Lily catches Elizabeth and her coworkers defending Diana and Delfin and she confronts them and lashes out at them.
James brings along Captain Salonga who makes known his desire to help them expose the ongoing conspiracy as an officer of the law. After talking about how the president has changed so much and listens to no one but Lily, Diana urges them to be always careful.
Meanwhile, Clarice receives the summons to town hall to go and explain herself in regards to the fake products she’s been selling. The Padua family meet and when Arturo hears of this, he disregards the summons and makes mockery of it. He declares that they’re now too big to waste their time on such trivial matter.
Cardo goes along with his comrades to visit Delfin in detention at camp Crame. Delfin apologizes for keeping his situation from everyone, saying that he didn’t want to drag them into the mess. He makes mention of how the first lady had manipulated the dumb president against him.
Dumb president in question sits in the comfort of his miserable Palace, whining like a little brat about how the people he thought were his friends have been his enemies all along. Lily is happy to see the effects of her witchcraft still going strong. Back at CIDG headquarters, team Cardo deliberate on how to prove Delfin’s innocence.
Our favorite hero comes up with a “brilliant idea” – he would talk to the president and explain things to him. In no time, he calls Oscar on phone and gets him to agree to meet him. Cardo then bids an emotional goodbye to his grandpa. Oscar reflect on his fall from power and how he had been saved by our favorite hero.
Lily saunters into the office and when she finds out about Cardo’s upcoming visit, she makes it a point to poison the mind of her beloved husband against him. She then feeds him his “medicine” so that he would feel better. The Palace workers discuss about the president’s change in behavior and the mistreatments of the first lady.
They decide that they’ve had enough so they plan to quit their jobs and leave the Palace. Captain Salonga overhears this and after he calls Diana to notify her, she in turn calls Elizabeth to urge her not to leave the Palace with the others because the president needs them.
Since Auring and her companion had already gone ahead to say their goodbyes to the president, Elizabeth and Ambo hurry to the office to stop them subtly. They bump into Arturo on the way and he scolds them, though they manage to stop their coworkers from quitting. Oscar throws a fit for being bothered with a trivial matter.
General Dela Cruz soon shows up to brief him about the hard evidence they had found against Delfin. Dumb President Hidalgo declares that Delfin is guilty beyond reasonable doubts. While Delfin sits dejectedly in the holding cell, Cardo continues to make his way to the Palace with his team.
