Maila Dies. Carlos Attempts To K!ll His Father; Isabel Discovers The Crime He Had Committed. Bianca Deals With Carlos At Her Mother’s Funeral.
The episode begins with Roman arriving home and confronting Carlos about where he’s been all day. Carlos lies through his teeth to cover up what he’s been up to and Roman gives him a stern warning. At the hospital, Gabriel and Grandpa Ben console Bianca as she laments over how she had failed to get to her mother on time and save her.
At home, Olsen, Chuchay and the rest of the family discuss about Maila’s unfortunate incident and Rigor’s suspected involvement. Back at the hospital, the doctor informs Bianca and everyone else about Maila’s critical condition and how she needs to undergo surgery.
The doctor then warns them to prepare for the worst. Meanwhile, Grandma Lydia storms the house of her miserable son to confront him about what had happened to Maila. Rigor denies having done anything and he blows a fuse and rants for a while.
Refusing to turn a blind eye to the truth, Lydia pounces on her son and Chuchay and the others strive to restrain her.Bianca continues to beat herself up for what had happened to her mother and she brings up how she had mentioned Carlos’ name before losing consciousness.
Gabriel then decides to have him investigated. Roman receives a phone call from his attorney who tells him of Maila’s misfortune and the suspected involvement of Rigor and Carlos. At the hospital, Lydia shows up to offer her support to the Agbayanis.
She encourages and consoles Ben as he beats himself up for his inability to protect his daughter. She later has a talk with Gabriel about the matter at hand and laments over what her miserable son could have done. So Roman confronts Carlos about the part he had played in what happened to Maila.
When the scoundrel plays dumb, Roman declares that he won’t bail him out if he ends up in jail because of it. In the meantime, Gabriel confronts his wretched father about Maila’s accident. An altercation and a faceoff ensue.Carlos grabs his güñ with the intention of k!lling his father so he doesn’t get any more closer to the truth.
In no time, he slips into his room and pulls the güñ on him but isn’t able to shoot. As soon as he turns his back, Roman wakes up from bed and pulls a güñ of his own. He relaxes and drops the aim when he realizes that it’s only Carlos, who has already hidden his own güñ.
Gabriel apologizes to Grandpa Ben for what his father might have done and the old man declares that the scoundrel must pay for it if he’s really responsible. Bianca listens in. Later, she watches over her mother in the ICU and desperately prays for her survival.
Ironic enough, Maila begins to have convulsions just then and the doctor is called in to attend to her. CPR is administered but unfortunately, Maila’s vital signs continues to drop to zero. Bianca and Ben are devastated when the doctor calls the time of death. Ben later goes to see the remains of his daughter and he grieves his loss.
Isabel overhears Carlos talking to Rigor on the phone about the part they had played in Maila’s accident. Before Carlos can explain things out to her, she disappears. In no time, he goes to see her at home to tell her the details of what had happened, particularly putting all the blame on Rigor.
It doesn’t take long for Maila’s funeral to be held and Bianca and her family receive the support of their loved ones. When Roman makes his appearance to offer his condolences and help, Bianca reveals how Carlos has Victoria’s cellphone in his possession.
Speaking of, Carlos makes deliberate efforts to convince Isabel to help him and as expected, she agrees like the dumb desperate woman that she is. A moment later, Carlos shows up at Maila’s funeral with Isabel and flowers and Bianca unleashes her anger on him, blaming him for her mother’s death. She then chases him out of the place.
On their way out, Carlos and Isabel have an encounter with Gabriel. Upon arrival home, Roman confronts his son about Victoria’s phone and he threatens to kick him out of the house if he doesn’t surrender it. Ultimately, Carlos spies as Bianca and her family proceed to lay Maila to rest at the cemetery.
