“Don’t worry, baby. I’ll avenge you. Romina will never stay at the top. And I’ll be the reason why she never recovers. I want her to experience the same pain I’m feeling. Over and over. I want her to keep suffering until eventually, she’ll just want to give up and die!”
Romina was cleaning up the office when Daniela walked in. She traded words with her and offered to help her if only she did the right thing. Danny girl’s pride wouldn’t let her though. She made a bet with Mina – winner takes all. If Daniela won, Romina would return Camila to her, and if Romina won, she’d get the mansion in return.
“We’ll play a game,” Daniela stated. “Chess.”
“Alright. Deal.”
Kulas had a talk with his son about how he needed to take care of Daniela since she and his baby shared the same body. Meanwhile, Daniela was very confident of winning the bet since she used to beat her dad at it before. A moment later, the game began with both women throwing jabs at each other occasionally.
“You fail to realize,” Romina gloated after a few moves. “That I was setting up. For this last move.” Romina knocked away Daniela’s piece and placed hers in position. “Checkmate.”
“No!” Daniela sprang up to her feet. “That’s impossible.”
“In case you’ve forgotten, I grew up on the streets. I grew up watching elders play chess. And you aren’t the only one who learned from Robert. He taught Cassie too. And who do you think she plays with within her spare time?”
“You cheated,” Danny girl said, ranting on some more before storming out.
Mikoy ambushed Marga, telling her not to start her day with a frown. Mini-Daniela went past him and Mikoy accidentally stepped in some kind of slimy goo as he tried to catch up with her. “Yuck.”
Marga turned and made a disgusted face. “Ewww,” she said, laughing before carrying on.
Sparks flew as Mikoy stared. His heart seemed to be beating rapidly. “Oh, boy.”
Romina, along with the police and her allies, stormed the mansion. Mina called out Daniela to hold on to her end of the deal. Danny girl was however not willing to give up the mansion. Carlos walked in on the scene a moment later, and Mina informed him of the situation. All his efforts to convince his wife to surrender fell on deaf ears. Mikoy couldn’t get Marga’s smiling face out of his mind. She asked the Mean Squad about her, and they told him that she had left for home a while ago. Mikoy grabbed his bag, and off he ran. Cassie ran into Kristoff and had a somewhat awkward conversation with him. She then had a phone call.
“Hello, mamma.”
“Hello, Cassie. Jepoy will pick you up after school. He’ll drop you off at the mansion. Take care.”
Marga arrived at the mansion to learn of the situation there. She started ranting on about how the mansion was theirs and her only memory of her grandpa. As she kept on protesting, Daniela eventually came out with their stuff and told her to stop with her pleadings. Jepoy arrived with Cassie.
“Celebrate while you can,” Danny girl said. “I’m sure this wouldn’t last long.”
“Then give it your best, my stepdaughter. You deserve this for the things you’ve done. Next time, don’t make deals with me if you can’t hold up your end of the bargain.”
Carlos started dragging his wife away. The Mondragons were torn up when Nanny Esther decided to leave with the Bartolomes, saying that Daniela needed her at the moment. At Navotas, Carlos pulled over at a house and asked nanny Esther to unload the luggage. Daniela and Marga were appalled to learn that they would be staying there. Carlos said that was all he could afford at the moment since his business wasn’t doing that well.
“Look at that chick,” one of the guys commented as the Bartolomes passed by.
Romina and Cassie took their time walking into the mansion. Neil, Bonita and Jepoy followed a moment later. Meanwhile, Daniela and Marga tried talking Carlos into using up their savings and selling off their jewelry so they could get a better place. Carlos was against it though. “You should learn how to live a simple life,” Carlos said. “For our baby’s sake.”
The Mondragons shared a meal at the mansion, glad to finally fulfill the promise they had made to Robert. A moment later, Mikoy came looking for Marga, only to find that she wasn’t staying there anymore. Marga told her mother about how she couldn’t sleep because her room was filled with insects. Bratty daughter offered her dêspiçable mother help in taking back twice as much from the Mondragons. The next morning, the neighbors recognized Daniela as the owner of Camila Sardines. They started bombarding her with questions , and Danny girl told them to mind their business.
A moment later, she packed up some bags to sell. She was however met with some Camila officials outside, who had come to retrieve the company’s property – Danny girl’s car. She eventually surrended the keys after throwing a fit and resorted to commuting on foot. Hector was complaining bitterly about how his ‘stüpid brother’ was ruining everything. Glen suggested that he allow Alvin rat Daniela out, but Hector said it wasn’t the right time to carry out that plan.
“So what’s your plan?”
“Ready our men. We’ll bust Alvin out of prison.”
Alvin and some other prisoners were being transported to their hearings when Hector’s goons ambushed and took out the guards. Alvin was dragged away by the other inmates. Snakeface (Hector’s right-hand man) called Hector and told him that he couldn’t find his brother anywhere. He insinuated that Daniela could have him. Hector then threatened to k!ll the other guys if they didn’t find his brother. Romina arrived at Camila and took her sweet time walking in. She was met with a grand welcome. Glancing at a portrait of Robert on the wall, she thanked the staff and promised a new beginning.
Daniela was waiting by the street for a ride when a woman elbowed her in the belly in her rush to catch a bus. Danny girl started bleeding in no time. Hector happened to pass by. He rushed her into his car. Next stop, the hospital. Bernard asked Romina whether she was certain that Leon was trustworthy since she had already been through a lot. Mina said she couldn’t change the way she treated him unless he did something against her. Daniela was getting very vocal riding in the backseat as Hector was still en route to the hospital. Meanwhile, Carlos wondered the whereabouts of his wife, and Marga told him that she had gone out to sell off some of her bags.
Romina addressed the board, going on about how she wanted to restore Camila to it’s former glory. “Let’s do it for Camila. And for Robert.”
Hector was in disbelief to learn that Daniela had lost her baby. Meanwhile, Leon suggested to Romina that they run a background check on the employees to find whether any of them was loyal to Daniela.
“You really want me to bring Daniela down, don’t you?” Mina said. “Do you have a grudge against her?”
“I just can’t stand people like her. I saw how she made you suffer. Why, is there a problem?”
“I’m just not used to people going the extra mile for me.”
Eventually, they both shook hands to a long, lasting relationship. Leon smirked triumphantly on his way out. Daniela refused to let Carlos know about her miscarriage since she was certain that he would leave her on account of it. She made Hector dig out a makeshift grave and began spouting her usual nonsense in no time, blaming Romina for her baby’s death and then vowing to avenge it.
“Don’t worry, baby. I’ll avenge you,” Danny girl lamented. “Romina will never stay at the top. And I’ll be the reason why she never recovers. I want her to experience the same pain I’m feeling. Over and over. I want her to keep suffering until eventually, she’ll just want to give up and die!”
At Navotas, Marga kept herself from being seen by Mikoy, determined not to let anyone see her in her current condition. A moment later, a private car dropped her off at Maxwell. Nadya mocked her with it, and Marga went on about how the car was the latest model in town.
Mikoy ran over. “I now know…”
“What is it, Micheal?” Nadya urged.
“I can finally say…”
Mini-Daniela covered Mikoy’s mouth with her hand, shushing him. She then walked off with the girls.
Mikoy stared. “… that I like you,” he finished.”
Hector offered to take Daniela to the hospital. She however refused to go. Bullheaded, she charged Hector to keep the incident earlier a secret from everyone, especially her husband. “If your husband really løvës you, he wouldn’t leave even if you lost your baby,” Hector reasoned.
“This is the last time I would lose anything, Hector. I would do anything so that I win in the end. I’ll even live a lie if I have to.”
Hector arrived home to find snakeface and the other goons playing cards. He kicked them out and announced that Daniela didn’t have Alvin. Snakeface wasn’t convinced though. “Daniela didn’t do it!” Hector hissed. “Move it or I’ll bash your head in. Find my brother.”
Daniela arrived back home, only to be shoved aside forcefully by a very vocal middle-aged woman. Danny girl gave her a look and the woman started ranting. “That’s the woman we told you about,” a guy whispered.
The woman checked out Danny girl, and her demeanor transformed with immediate effect. “Darling. I didn’t recognize you. I brought you some noodles. You’ll løvë it.”
Daniela wasn’t the least bit impressed. “Darling? Who the hell are you?”
“I’m madam Rosita. Your landlady.” As madam Rosita smiled, Daniela stared and glared down at her.
