The episode begins with officer Bueno and his partner taking out the remaining goons at the detention facility and rescuing Margie and her fellow prisoners. Teddy gladly reunites with his wife and son, and they get acquainted with Margie on account of their connections with grandma Flora.
Damian informs Lucas about how the authorities had discovered the holding facility and rescued the detainees. Lucas is outraged and he demands that his secretary make sure that whatever accusations they throw at him doesn’t hold water.
In the meantime, Javier and Baldo grudgingly deliver a new batch of men to the mines. In order to please Homer, Tyson asks the guys to go and get some more men tomorrow for the mining operations. Though disgusted with how Tyson has been sucking up to Homer, Javier and Baldo resolve to storm Santo Niño next to capture more miners.
The next morning in the socalled peaceful province of Santo Niño, Cardo and his comrades wake up in such a great mood. Soriano teases Jerome when he offers to help Bubbles prepare breakfast for everyone. In their separate hut, our favorite hero prepares breakfast for himself and his wife. The couple begin with their unending romance of how they’re both fortunate to have each other.
The members of the Vendetta deliberate on the high hopes they have for the new year, and in no time, they gather around the table for breakfast. As Lucas and his cohorts deliberate on the probable fallout of the escape of their detractors, the Arevalos are brought to a safe house by the faithful cops.
Lucas is really pissed off to learn that Teddy’s family hadn’t been included in the official list of people who had been rescued, and Hipolito speculates that there are probably some police officers who have not yet decided to take their side. In Santo Niño, Vendetta have breakfast and gladly discuss how peaceful and simple life is there as compared to the city.
While Flora and her family are in the process of sharing breakfast together, Shirlene receives a phone call from her sister and everyone is delighted to know that Margie is finally safe and would be coming home soon. The officers assure Teddy and his family of their safety in the safe house. They promise to keep them safe, stating that it’s their way of paying tribute for the honourable things Cardo has done for the police force and the country, during his time in service as well as with the Vendetta.
Speaking of, Cardo joins his comrades to begin patrol duties for the day. Mayor Adonis brings Margie home where she has an emotional reunion with her family. Cardo and his comrades continue to enjoy the peace and security in Santo Niño and they lamely look forward to keep things that way.
They begin to patrol the community, with Romulo making known to them his intention to propose to Diana. The guys tease him and offer their support. Margie reunites with Flora’s family and gladly informs the older woman of how Teddy’s family had also been rescued by the faithful cops. Aubrey urges her father to agree to settle down in Santo Niño since danger literally awaits them back in the city.
Over the phone, Hipolito pesters Gascone for payment to honor their end of the mining deal. Gascone soon notifies Gustavo who doesn’t seem the least bit pleased. Though upset with being hounded for payment when enough diamonds haven’t even been found yet, Senõr Gustavo agrees to have Gascone give Hipolito 50 million to shut them up for a while.
Lucas gives a blasted speech in the comfort of the Palace to address the issue regarding the prisoners that had been found and rescued and as always, he lamely makes it his mission to incriminate our favorite hero and his comrades.
Councilor Gina and her minions buy his crappy story but Flora and her family know better than to be føøled by such ridiculous performance. Cardo and Vendetta continue føøling around in Santo Niño.
At the safe house, Teddy looks forward to the return of Cardo and Vendetta to help defeat Lucas, unknown to them that the vigilantes are happily enjoying their stay in Santo Niño and don’t plan on coming back anytime soon.
Meanwhile, Lucas meets up with his partners in crime at the Palace to discuss business. He charges Hipolito to bring in some money from the mining deal. They begin to deliberate on the raid of the detention facility and the rescue of the prisoners.
With Teddy’s family nowhere to be found, Hipolito speculates that they’re being protected by the Police. At the mines, Homer’s group, Javier’s and Baldo’s begin plotting against each other, with the Scorpion threatening to bury his enemies alive should they go against them. Over the phone, officer Bueno assures Cruz that the Arevalos are still safe and out of harm’s way.
Cardo and Vendetta return home later that night, and the guys begin to give hints of the upcoming special occasion with Romulo, subtly teasing Diana with it and playing those in the dark so they don’t ruin the surprise the Commander has in store for the General.
When Diana mentions that the most awaited and happiest day in a woman’s life is her wedding day, Romulo asks if she wants to get married again and the guys begin teasing them.
Diana says she’s ready and willing as long as someone asks for her hand in marriage, and Delfin urges Romulo to ask her already. Diana admonishes him and asks that they stop joking around and proceed with dinner already. Cardo then proposes to his grandpa and the rest of the guys that they have a few drinks later to unwind.
Officer Cruz brings the Arevalos some supplies at the safe house and they express their utmost appreciation for the kind gesture. Virgie asks the officers to be careful since Lucas could come after them for helping them. Bueno is complacent as he believes that Lucas wouldn’t have the time to focus on them now that more people are protesting against his administration.
He asks Cruz to go home while he stays behind to watch over the family. As fate will have it, Cruz is güññed down on his way out and he manages to take out a couple of goons before succumbing to his wounds. The chaos prompts officer Bueno and the Arevalos to be on their guard. As the goons storm into the safe house, Bueno holds them off for Teddy and his family to escape.
