General Chavez Cooks Up A Cunning Scheme With Franco To Cover His Tracks. Celine Leads Anton On. Team Emman Targets The Daughter of Dr. Gomez.
The episode begins with Leo meeting up with Amelia and assuring her that Nestor wouldn’t be bothering her ever again. Amelia expresses her appreciation and apologizes for venting out her anger on him in regards to her mother’s dëäth. Also, she apologizes for not being able to introduce him to Lester as his biological father.
Leo says he understands, given their current situation. At home, Celine lectures Anton about taking good care of himself and avoiding the usual fights with Emman. Sam admonishes Emman for the incident earlier and Emman berates Anton for living a normal life after everything he’s done.
Celine tells Anton of how she’s constantly been arguing with Emman on account of his reluctance to believe that their son might still be alive. Anton brings up Sam’s apparent relationship with Emman and Celine makes him believe that whatever’s going on between them is none of her business.
Over the phone, General Chavez talks to Araceli’s lawyer about the video of her ordering him to k!ll her. Attorney Rabago assures the General that he’s already deleted everything and Leo charges him to keep quiet in regards to the investigations into her dëãth.
Emman has a talk with his father about the suspects in the organ trafficking syndicate and the probability that they might get a lead from their relatives or associates. In the meantime, Sam meets up with attorney Rabago and talks him into giving her a copy of the video she had taken of Araceli during his last visit at the NIA.
A moment later, Sam sends Emman the video to watch and as expected, the part where Araceli had urged Leo to have her k!lled has been edited out. Emman soon calls Sam to discuss with her about the case and the suspects and their connections.
Leo rendezvouses with Franco to talk to him about his misgivings regarding attorney Rabago. The rotten General decides to wait for the right moment to get rid of the lawyer and to make sure the Hernandezes stop asking questions, he comes up with a cunning scheme.
In the meantime, Clarissa expresses her mistrust of her husband to Amelia on account of how he keeps disappearing to unknown places and not answering her calls or texts. She is inclined to believe that her husband is cheating on her again and Amelia strives to dissolve her unease and convince her otherwise.
Sam deliberates on the syndicate case with Colonel Manzano and the other NIA agents, and she has the colonel agree to have the people connected to their former suspects investigated. Gabo then reminds her that they have one week to produce results lest they risk losing the case. He asks about the close surveillance on General Chavez and Sam assures him that they could get something.
Speaking of, the agent tailing General Chavez is identified and exposed. Leo confronts him and uses threats and blackmail to compel him to side with him in order to ensure the safety of his wife and child. Anton informs Celine about Amelia’s refusal to give her permission for the procedure and Celine indulges him.
The Hernandezes reflect on their mother’s untimely dëäth, with Anton noting that there’s something they can do to get justice. In the meantime, Sam briefs Emman and Caloy about Dr. Monique Calderon, the løvë child of Dr. Gomez who still works at A. Hernandez Hospital until now.
The team begins to suspect that she might have something to do with the syndicate so they plan to find out for sure. Back at the Hernandezes, Amelia questions Linda about her daughter’s intention of wanting to marry Anton. Amelia decides to put some of her mother’s things away and give some to charity.
Linda offers a helping hand and taking note of a particular picture, she reflects on how Araceli had seen her through her studies in med school. Amelia admits that she had envied her back then because her mother had treated her better.
Linda apologizes. A moment later, Amelia frets about the possible fallout of the mürdër of Nestor. She calls Leo to ask whether he had disposed of the body properly and Leo assures her that he’s already taken care of everything.
Amelia worries about her mother’s k!ller and Leo leads her on and assures her that they would find the suspect soon enough. Clarissa offers to have her husband try a new recipe she’s made but Leo declines and mentions that he’s already eaten and just wants to rest. Clarissa then begins questioning him about his whereabouts and why he’s not been picking her calls.
She brings up Lester’s birthday party which would be happening tomorrow and urges that they make an attendance. At A. Hernandez Hospital, Anton brings Celine some coffee and snacks and begins sweet talking her. In his room, Emman ponders over the syndicate case and begins to wonder what Dr. Calderon knows.
Caloy gets himself wasted as he continues with his act of having moved on from Sam. Bernie suspects otherwise and resolves to badger him. Through a video call, Arnold informs Analyn about his decision to fulfill his mother’s wish by going to work at A. Hernandez Hospital: that way, they get to see each other more often.
At the hospital, Celine assists Dr. Calderon to take care of some patient and she eventually expresses her appreciation for all her help. As both women talk, Anton shows up to offer to drive Celine home. However, Celine declines the offer and reminds him that her shift isn’t over yet.
Dr. Monique Calderon tries to slip away but Celine stops her and introduces her to Anton. Celine commends how the doctor had stabilized a kid with a heart condition and Dr. Monique points out that she had also helped out too. Anton thanks the doctor for staying with them at the hospital in spite of the recent scandal that had resulted in the countless resignations of some health workers.
Dr. Monique says it’s her duty and she doesn’t let such issues affect her and her work. Anton mentions that she’s the kind of doctor his mother would have løvëd to work with. Dr. Monique extends her condolences and after bidding goodbye to Celine, she turns to walk away with an indifferent look on her face.
