Terante Interrogates The People of Baseco. Cardo & the Vendetta Seek Refuge In Santo Niño. Lucas Continues His Smear Campaigns.
Cardo and the Vendetta continue their journey on the road, bound for St. Niño, just as Terante questions the doctors about what had happened. With the drive ongoing, Alyana brings up how Marie and her grandparents had been k!lled mercilessly by the rotten cops, and Cardo brands Lucas as a monster and declares that he needs to pay for every evil thing he’s done.
Homer and his men make preparations while awaiting Hipolito’s go-ahead in regards to the deal with the mining company. As fate will have it, some miners find some gold bars and decide to keep some for themselves. Tyson the midget catches the miners in the act and after Bruno the giant confirms so, they go to inform Senõr Gustavo about the discovery.
Tyson shows him some of the gold bars and reveals how some men had tried to steal the gold. Senõr Gustavo orders him to deal with the thieves, so Tyson gladly goes to execute them right in front of the other workers. He then cautions everyone else that they would suffer the same fate if they ever try following in the footsteps of the thieves.
A bogus news report comes on TV about how Cardo and the Vendetta had seized the hospital and allegedly k!lled some of the civilians.Once Terante returns to the Palace, Lucas unleashes his anger and frustration on him for failing to capture capture or get rid of the Vendetta on several occasions.
Terante promises to deliver and Lucas bluntly tells him that he might not live to see another day if he doesn’t do as he’s said. The fake news of the Vendetta’s assault on the hospital begins to trend. Margie refuses to believe the reports incriminating the group and has an exchange of opinions with the mayor on the matter.
Elmo and Wally are also confident that the news is nothing but fake and Yolly charges them not to let Grandma Flora hear of the issue since the recent incidents had already taken a toll on her. Teddy arrives outside the hospital and asks a couple of nurses about what had actually happened.
The nurses recount how Cardo and the Vendetta had come to have their wounded comrades treated and hadn’t really hurt anyone. Teddy returns home to inform his family about what he’s discovered. Virgie worries about the safety of her daughter and Teddy remains determined to continue writing his articles to expose the truth about Lucas and Terante.
JP is confident that our favorite hero will be able to keep his sister safe.The fake news of the Vendetta comes on TV and Teddy speaks against the report and declares that he wouldn’t be stopped from telling the truth to the public.
Mayor Adonis has a talk with Margie about her constant arguments speaking out against the current administration and their alleged corruptness. He continues to believe that Lucas and his people are only trying to help and perform their sworn duties.
Gascone returns to the mining site to learn of the good news in regards to the discovery of the gold treasure. Gascone reveals that some clients of theirs are in demand for natural diamonds and Noah mentions that he knows of a place where they can mine some: in Mount. Santo Niño.
Senõr Gustavo is delighted. During the journey to the countryside, the members of the Vendetta deliberate on the possibility of being safe in Santo Niño and Diana urges that they trust Cardo’s judgement. Having no leads and nothing better doing, Terante interrogates the inhabitants of Baseco and makes several pathetic attempts to get some information out of them.
Noel and the other neighbors frustrate the efforts of Terante as he tries to make them believe that it was the Vendetta who had k!lled Marie and her grandparents and other civilians. Terante gives some blasted speech about getting justice for the lives lost as he blames the Vendetta for everything.
Noel and the other neighbors resolve to give Terante absolutely nothing and refuse to believe his claims and accusations: they would protect Vendetta and the real president from the corrupt officials. Senõr Gustavo informs Tyson of his decision to relocate to Mount. Santo Niño to look for more gold, diamonds and other precious stones buried by the Japanese.
When Tyson notes that the place is swarming with soldiers, Gustavo proposes that they gather a larger force in case they get into any encounter. Tyson declares that he knows someone who can help them. In the meantime, Cardo and the Vendetta finally arrive in St. Niño. Lucas addresses the press and puts on another one of his pathetic shows.
Lucas blames the Vendetta for the dëäths in Baseco. He mentions a foundation he’s formed for the so-called victims of the Vendetta and announces his wretçhed son as the head of the blasted foundation. Brandon gives a ridiculous speech which Margie refuses to fall for since he had been involved in a kidñappiñg case before.
As expected, Adonis argues against her misgivings. Meanwhile, Cardo finally arrives at grandpa Marsing’s house with his comrades and Caloy alerts him and his other family members. Cardo asks for help and they gladly oblige.
Baldo is informed of Tyson’s request to see him at the foot of St. Monica and he agrees to go and see him. Doray and Elizabeth bombard Alyana with questions about their armed and wounded comrades and Alyana notes that they’re being hunted by the police.
Elizabeth recognizes Aubrey as the president’s daughter who had been kidñapped and Aubrey clarifies the matter. Outside, Ambo asks Cardo about his companions and what had happened to them. Cardo recounts the encounter with the cops and expresses his gratitude when Marsing assures him that they would be safe and protected in his place.
Wally gladly notifies Grandma Flora and the others about a news article debunking the government’s claim that the Vendetta had hurt and k!lled innocent people. The family is delighted to know that there are still honest and trustworthy publications.
JP shows his father his article which had headlined the newspaper, saying that Lucas and Terante would be humiliated. Virgie worries that they would do everything to figure out the writer but Teddy won’t be stopped no matter what. When JP asks of officer Morales, his father mentions that he might have been silenced.
Teddy receives a phone call from one of the comrades of Morales who asks to meet up so they could talk about what had happened to Morales. In Santo Niño, Diana and Ramil recount their adventures and escape from the hospital. At the Palace, Terante assures Lucas that no one in Baseco knows that President Hidalgo is still alive.
Lucas asks of Vendetta and insinuates that the people in Baseco might be covering up for them. Hipolito seconds him and taunts Terante with how Cardo and Vendetta had defeated him thrice. President Hidalgo recounts how he had been rescued by Cardo and the Vendetta from mortal danger. Elizabeth is appalled that President Cabrera was the one who had had his entire family ässassiñated and she begins to berate him.
Meanwhile, Baldo in the company of his men, meets up with Tyson who informs him that he has something important to tell him. When Baldo asks for details, Tyson merely says that he’s got to come with him because there’s someone who would like to be friends with him. The episode concludes as Baldo follows Tyson and his group.
