“You threaten my family again, and I’ll make you pay. I won’t go easy on you. You don’t know what I am capable of. Don’t force me.”
Robert was upset with receiving another cryptic letter. Bernard suggested that he go to the police with it but Robert was adamant. He vowed to catch the blackmailer himself without his family knowing about it.
Cassie narrated to LJ and Fatima about her recent argument with her father, his regret of bringing her to Maxwell and how he planned transferring her to a different school so he could keep her away from Marga to avoid anymore fights.
Cassie had the feeling that Marga knew the secret everyone had been keeping from her, and she could n’t keep on pretending everything was fine until she found out the truth about herself. She planned on going back to Navotas to search for the truth, but LJ and Fatima were against the idea.
Romina confronted Daniela at Camila and Daniela told her that she had already spoken to Marga, adding that she should also talk to Cassie so they could put everything behind them. Romina was doubtful of Daniela’s trust and sincerity and Bonita mentioned to Mina that she had the feeling that Daniela hadn’t really talk to Marga, adding that she had always treated her daughter like a one year old kid.
Robert called Daniela into his office and informed him about someone blackmailing him and how they had threatened to expose the truth about Cassie if he didn’t do what they wanted. Daniela got upset when her father asked whether she knew anything about it, and Robert insinuated that Daniela could know the person blackmailing him.
“Marga doesn’t know anything about Cassie’s real identity,” Danny said. “I kept Romina’s secret even though we don’t get along. I thought you’d appreciate that at least.”
The students of Maxwell started avoiding and making fun of Marga with the injury she had faked and Kristoff came to her defense. Marga planned on finding the person who had put the cryptic note inside Cassie’s locker to prove her innocence.
Cassie was sad and dejected that her friends had also turned their backs on her. Alvin came over and when she told about him the problems she was having, Alvin suggested that she handle her problems one at a time. Cassie then mentioned how Kulas had called her a product of a mistake.
Cassie asked Alvin whether he had heard anything about her since he used to work at Camila, and Alvin told her to find the root of the problem, adding that he could help her once she figured out where everything had started.
Kulas ranted on and on about Robert dragging him into his family’s problems. Jessa mentioned that Robert might be hiding a secret he didn’t want anyone to find out. Kulas told her that if Robert really cared about Romina’s daughter, then he should have told her the truth a long time ago.
Daniela met up with Savannah and informed her about her father being blackmailed and how she had the feeling that Alvin could be the one behind it since he knew the truth and he needed the money. Savannah suggested to Daniela to convince her father to leave with his family so she could get the chance to take over the company.
Cassie skipped school to go and search for the answers to her questions at the hospital. Alvin offered to go with her to ensure her safety. Marga watched secretly as Cassie left with Alvin. Jessa tried to convince Myrna to use the information she had on the Mondragons to blackmail and extort money from them.
Myrna was against the idea since the Mondragons were already suspicious of her family and she didn’t want to cause anymore problems for her sons. At Camila, Robert received another cryptic letter. He called in security. Meanwhile, Cassie asked a woman at the hospital for her patient records.
Since Cassie was just fifteen, the attendant turned her down, saying that they didn’t release patient records to minors. Cassie was downcast and Alvin suggested that they ask around the hospital. After asking a nurse, Alvin informed Cassie that the head nurse who had been working there at the time of her birth was still around.
Romina met a group of men on her way out of the company and the secretary informed her that Robert had asked for them. A moment later, Daniela listened in as Robert had a talk with the men in his office, telling them that he didn’t want the police to be involved.
“In a few hours, I’ll give the blackmailer what they want,” Robert said. “And once you have identified the blackmailer, grab them. I want to know who this person is.”
Nadya and Nica mocked Marga for her low standing in the Maxwell Prime leaderboard. Marga told Nadya that she was just taking her time and she was competing against Cassie, adding that they were both not up to her standard because she was smarter than them both.
Marga then tried to rile up Nadya against Cassie. She suggested that they work together to bring down Cassie and both girls shook hands, sealing the deal. They began to plot something that could ruin Cassie.
At the hospital, Cassie mentioned her name to the head nurse, and told her that she had been brought to the hospital after she had been born in a car. The head nurse remembered the incident and told Cassie that the baby’s surname hadn’t been Mondragon.
“Are you sure?” Cassie asked, confused.
“Of course,” the nurse replied. “That sort of thing doesn’t happen everyday. I was so fond of that baby because her mother was so kind. We almost thought she wouldn’t survive.”
“What was the baby’s name?”
“Am not sure about the name they gave her, but we called her ‘baby Andrada’ since that was her mother’s surname.”
“Was the mother named Romina Andrada?”
“Yes. That was her.”
Before Cassie could ask anymore questions about the baby’s father, the nurse left to attend to an emergency. Fatima and LJ tried contacting Cassie but she wasn’t picking up. LJ worried that something bad could have happened to her there and Fatima suggested that they call her parents and notify them of Cassie’s disappearance.
They decided to call Cassie’s parents if she didn’t show up before school ended. Classes were over and Romina sat at the waiting area. She recalled her recent conversation with Alvin and she asked Kristoff whether Cassie and Marga got along in school. Kristoff was at a loss for words, confirming Mina’s suspicion that Marga indeed bullied Cassie in school.
Daniela was acting all nervous when she got home. Carlos asked what was wrong and Danny girl told him that she was just trying to call Savannah because she had had another fight with her husband. Carlos offered to pick up Marga in school while she went to help her friend. He glanced at his wife suspiciously on his way out.
At the hospital, Alvin received Daniela’s call but he didn’t answer. Cassie came up and told him that the nurse was still in the operating room and she wanted to know why they had used the name Andrada instead of Mondragon. Alvin then gave Cassie his phone number, saying that she can always give him a call anytime she needs him.
Cassie thanked him for his help. Romina confronted Marga and told her that she already knew about her bullying Cassie. Marga tried to deny it and Mina warned her to stop what she was doing.
“I didn’t raise Cassie to be bullied by you or anybody else,” Mina said. “Do you understand me?”
Marga dropped her good girl act. “No, I don’t,” she barked.
“What?”
“How can you defend Cassie when you don’t know the whole story?”
“What do you mean?”
“Yes. I fight with her, but so does everyone else in Maxwell. You know why? Because she’s a flirt.”
Mina glared at Marga. “You better take back what you said,” she warned. “We know that’s not true.”
“Am not lying, auntie,” Marga insisted. “She’s a flirt. That’s why a lot of people here are mad at her,” she added with a mocking smile. “Like mother. Like my daughter.”
Mina raised her hand to släp the insolence off Marga’s face but then she stopped herself. “You should be thankful I respect your grandpa. Because that is the only thing that’s keeping me from släppiñg you.”
“Do you even know where she is?” Marga asked.
“Where is Cassie?”
“She went out with a man. A dirty janitor.”
Outside the hospital, Cassie checked her phone and found that she had 17 missed calls from her mother. Alvin came up to her and offered her an ice cream while they waited to get a ride, saying that she had to smile more often so she didn’t get wrinkles.
Cassie thanked him for his help again and mentioned that his daughter was lucky to have him as her father. She promised to help him be with his daughter. Robert waited at a park with a bag of money. He had stationed his men at some vantage points. Meanwhile, Hector texted his brother and informed him that Robert had arrived.
Alvin texted him back, telling him to go ahead with the plan. Hector cocked his gun, hid it and began making his way towards Robert. He noticed Robert’s men. Robert took off his glasses as Hector got closer. Much to Robert’s surprise, Hector walked right past him without a glance.
Romina was frantically trying to reach Cassie on the phone. LJ and Fatima confirmed that Cassie had left with a man. Mina called Bonita and she told him that Robert had already left the office with a group of men. Meanwhile, Robert was following Hector when he suddenly disappeared through a crowd of people.
Robert had a call from Mina, telling him about their daughter’s disappearance. Romina was pacing around when Robert and the Bartolomes arrived at the mansion.
Romina told her husband that Cassie was not answering her calls and Carlos suggested that they call the police. Cassie and Alvin showed up a second later. Mina went to hug her daughter and Robert charged at Alvin and gave him a beating.
“Where did you take my daughter?” Robert demanded, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt.
“I saw Cassie outside campus,” Alvin explained. “I was just worried so I went with her.”
“Do you think I actually believe that? Where did you take her?!”
“Cassie, where did you go?” Mina asked. “Why are you with Alvin?”
“Mamma, daddy, Mr. Vin is telling the truth,” Cassie wailed. “I went outside campus. He just made sure I was okay.”
Daniela got in between her father and Alvin and separated them. Robert asked her to stay out of it, and Danny girl dragged Alvin away. She had a talk with Alvin, upset that he had created a scene and drawn attention to himself. Alvin told him to be glad since all she had wanted was for Romina’s life to be ruined.
Carlos watched them secretly from inside the mansion. Cassie was silently crying in her room when Marga came in and mocked her some more, saying that she had upgraded herself from being the product of a mistake to a mistake itself. Cassie told her that she wouldn’t stop until she found out the truth.
Daniela suggested that Mina get rid of Alvin since he wasn’t a good influence on Cassie. Mina wondered out loud why Daniela was upset with Alvin and Danny girl told her that it was because their families were getting hurt. Mina didn’t seem to believe her though. She told Daniela that even though she hated her and her daughter, she seemed to be affected by what was going on.
Daniela argued that the guy was bad news and she was just protecting Marga so he didn’t go near her as well. Hector was very upset when he got back to the gambling den. Alvin told him that with the way things were going, they could make much more money out of the situation. He promised not to let the Mondragons leave the country until they got what they wanted.
Robert had a phone call from an unlisted number. “Who is this?” Robert asked.
“Mr. Mondragon,” Hector began. “I think that you’ve forgotten what we talked about. Do you want your adopted daughter to find out the truth?”
Robert was unfazed. “You threaten my family again, and I’ll make you pay. I won’t go easy on you.”
Hector laughed. “Mr. Mondragon. How do you plan on doing that?”
“You don’t know what I am capable of,” Robert said. “Don’t force me.” Without another word, Robert hung up on the blaçkmäiler.
