Jenny’s Miscarriage Spells Trouble For Jack’s Family. Pinky Deals With Jenny. Windsor & Giselle Discover Pinky’s Secret
The episode begins with Jenny talking on the phone with Jack. Pinky is shocked to see her. The glass of water she’s carrying falls and breaks. As Jenny turns around, she hides her face and doesn’t respond when asked if she’s okay. Jenny decides to leave since Mrs. Gao still hasn’t shown up.
Pinky vows to face Jenny soon. Jenny makes mockery of Mrs. Gao when she learns that Giselle had chosen an amateur with no skills to compete with her company. At home, Shirleen picks a fight with Jenny when she comes up with a flimsy excuse so she doesn’t have to cook for the family.
Jack abets his wife and Mrs. Hung tries to lecture her, only for her to talk back at her. Shirleen pushes her into the sofa where her husband is seated and Jenny pretends that her belly hurts.
She signals her husband to play along and Jack does so with no shame. Jack acts out and carries his wife out, supposedly to the hospital. Mrs. Hung gets worried about the baby but Shirleen thinks Jenny is just acting. Outside, Jenny convinces her husband to make his family believe that they had lost the baby.
Mrs. Gao calls Jenny and invites her and her husband for dinner and Jenny asks her to come along with the winner of the makeup contest. Mrs. Gao asks Shannon (Pinky) to get ready to attend to a VIP client who would be having an engagement ceremony.
Pinky suggests that she have someone else do the job since she isn’t that skilled yet but Giselle insists and assures Pinky that she would take full responsibility if anything goes wrong. A moment later, Pinky proceeds to do makeup for the important client.
Mrs. Gao has a talk with her son about how Pinky reminds her of their Shannon. An employee comes to alert her that the VIP client is having a fit so Giselle hurries over to the place. The VIP client rants nonstop about the supposed mess Pinky has made of her face.
She’s upset that Mrs. Gao had let an amateur do her makeup. Giselle tries to calm her down but when the client continues to throw a fit because Pinky is new in the field, Giselle gives her a piece of her mind. Pinky apologizes to the client only for her to throw water on her and storm off.
Windsor calls an officer to enquire about his sister’s disappearance and he learns that another woman had supposedly k!lled herself that day and even left a suiçidë note. Windsor asks of the woman’s name and he’s told that it’s Pinky Lin. The officer says they closed the case even though they hadn’t found the body because of the suiçidë note.
Once off the phone, Windsor reflects on when he had saved “Shannon” and realizes that she’s Pinky Lin. Pinky apologizes to Mrs. Gao for the incident earlier but Mrs. Gao isn’t bothered with it. She asks Pinky to join her for dinner later because she has someone she would like to introduce her to.
In no time, they come to a restaurant and Pinky begins asking about the person she’s to meet. She’s shocked when she learns that it’s none other than Jenny, the manager of Venus Beauty Salon. The fact that Jenny would be coming with her husband doesn’t help matters at all.
Pinky gets all worked up and leaves to use the washroom. She runs into Jenny and Jack on her way but evades them. The couple join Mrs. Gao at the table and Jenny gets upset with the absence of the amateur who had won the makeup contest.
She goes to the washroom and as soon as she enters one of the stalls, Pinky comes out of another stall. She picks up a glass of water and throws the water over the stall Jenny is in and runs off as Jenny cries out. Jenny comes out all wet to confront the perpetrator but doesn’t find anyone there.
While Mr. Hung scolds his wife and daughter for what they had done to Jenny, Jenny arrives home with her husband and puts on a quite pathetic act. She claims that she had had a miscarriage and Jack blames his sister. Gordon lashes out at his wife and also holds her responsible since she had argued with Jenny.
Ironic enough, Pauline thinks that Jenny’s baby disappeared from her belly because she called her a b*tch. She fears that the police would come to arrest her. Betsy brings a bowl of soup to Jenny and apologizes for everything. Jenny indulges her and continues with her pretense and Betsy promises to make her soup on a daily basis and take care of the house chores.
Meanwhile, Windsor confronts Pinky about the truth of her identity and she pleads with him not to expose her. Mrs. Gao overhears and confronts Pinky, upset that she had used her deãd daughter’s name to manipulate her. Pinky pleads for a chance to explain but Mrs. Gao refuses to listen and kicks her out of the house.
Pinky sadly lingers outside the house while Windsor reveals to his mother how he had met the fake Shannon. Later as Pinky sits outside, Windsor reflects on his encounters with her. The next morning, Mrs. Gao has the shock of her life to find Pinky asleep outside.
Giselle wakes up Pinky and as Pinky tries to convince her that she hadn’t lied to her, she passes out. Giselle then calls out to her son. A moment later, Pinky has been tucked into bed and when Giselle asks if they should take her to the hospital, Windsor says she just needs a little rest.
Windsor mentions that Pinky hasn’t fully recovered from her miscarriage and Giselle is surprised, and even more so when she learns of the supposed suiçidë note. Giselle realizes that Pinky had no intention of coveting her money, so she begins to wonder why she had kept everything from them.
Pinky regains consciousness and Mrs. Gao brings her some porridge and asks her to have some and leave. She chastises her for sleeping in the doorway and asks why she had used her daughter’s name.
Pinky remains silent so Giselle tells her that if she still refuses to talk to her, then she would have no choice than to drive her away again.
As she turns to leave, Pinky calls out to her and agrees to tell her. She reveals that her name is Pinky Lin and her husband is Jack Hung, the man she had had dinner with yesterday. Mrs. Gao is shocked.
