Showbiz Career
Lyca Gairanod started her singing career at the age of 9 when she stood on stage of the first season of The Voice Kids Philippines. She sang Aegis’ Halik and only Coach Sarah Geronimo was convinced of her potential. Against all odds, she went on to win the championship and brought home millions worth of prizes for her family.
After the championship, she appeared on several television programs for interviews and a sample of her singing prowess. Soon, she signed up for a recording project with MCA Music Inc. (Philippines).
She subsequently made her first television appearance as an actress portraying herself a junk scavenger in ABS-CBN’s Maalaala Mo Kaya and guested in ABS-CBN’s Hawak-Kamay the following month.
