Career
Martinez began as a film actor. He took his first role as Glenn in the 1980 series Anna Liza on GMA Network. Martinez’s character, Glenn was the suitor of the protagonist, Anna Liza which was portrayed by Julie Vega.
His critically acclaimed role was a downtrodden husband in Magnífico (2003). He recently starred in a TV drama series, Sa Piling Mo, together with Judy Ann Santos and Piolo Pascual which was shown on ABS-CBN.
Albert also worked on the series Maria Flordeluna in 2007 in the role of Gen. Leo Alicante. In 2009–2010, he worked on the series May Bukas Pa, in the role of the antagonist turned protagonist Mayor Enrique Rodrigo.
Martinez was part of the cast of 2012 film, Born To Love You.
In 2015-2016, he played the role of Tomas “Papa Tom” G. Tuazon in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (Brothers). In 2017, he played the role of Victor Buenavidez in The Good Son.
In 2018–2020 he played the role of Robert Mondragon in Kadenang Ginto (The Heiress)
In 2019, The General’s Daughter General Marcial De Leon.
In 2021, he returns to GMA-7 as part of Las Hermanas.
