“Samuel is tortured and buried al!ve while Isabel is forced to marry Franco”
The episode begins with Gonzalo furiously dragging Isabel into the mansion, demanding to know if this was how she planned to repay him after everything he had done for her. He reminded her that she owed him her life and declared that she did not deserve to be a Miravelez.
Isabel insisted she never wanted his wealth and told him that if he was so ashamed of her, he should simply set her free. Gonzalo refused, coldly reminding her that this was now her life. Isabel asked what they had done to Samuel, nearly provoking Gonzalo into hitting her again.
At the same time, Samuel, still tied up and helpless, demanded to know why they were torturing him. His captors replied that it was because he had entered the lives of the Hidalgos before continuing to beat him.
Gonzalo, still consumed with rage, warned Isabel that if he ever saw Samuel near her again, he would k!ll him. He then dragged her into a room and locked her inside while both Isabel and Rebecca sobbed helplessly. Franco could only watch in silence.
Meanwhile, Samuel’s torture continued. One of Maximo’s men asked if they should kill him already, but Maximo ordered them to let Samuel suffer first. Later, Soledad brought food to Isabel, who begged her to go to Samuel’s house and find out what had happened to him.
Isabel tearfully revealed that she and Samuel were supposed to get married before they were discovered, wondering what terrible condition he might be in now. Unbeknownst to them, Gonzalo was standing outside the door listening, visibly feeling guilty by her words as he shed a few tears.
Soledad later informed Elena about everything that had happened, prompting Elena to search for Samuel herself. Elsewhere, Franco told Eduardo that he wanted to marry Isabel that very weekend.
Eduardo questioned why the wedding had to happen so suddenly, but Franco, together with Miranda and Maximo, managed to convince him. Though Eduardo agreed, he still appeared suspicious.
Soledad returned to Isabel with worrying news: Samuel was nowhere to be found. Isabel became convinced Samuel was in danger and blamed herself for everything, believing he was suffering simply because he had fallen in love with her.
Meanwhile, Samuel’s torture escalated as he was electrocuted repeatedly. Elena, overwhelmed with fear for her son, finally concluded that the only way to save him was to tell Eduardo the truth.
On her way out, she encountered Maximo and pleaded with him, insisting that Samuel and Isabel’s love was mutual and begging him not to hurt her son. Maximo coldly replied that Samuel’s relationship with Isabel was not the real reason he had him captured.
Realizing Maximo knows the truth, Elena begged for mercy. Maximo finally agreed to spare Samuel, but only if Elena and her entire family left Salvacion forever without leaving a trace.
Back at the mansion, Isabel demanded that Franco tell her where Samuel was. Franco denied knowing anything, but Isabel made it clear that she would only marry him if Samuel was freed. Otherwise, she would cancel the wedding entirely.
Franco later relayed this ultimatum to Gonzalo and Maximo, assuring them Samuel would never come near Isabel once she became his wife. Gonzalo later confronted Isabel and reminded her that the wedding was the next day. He cruelly told her that Samuel’s survival depended on her going through with the marriage.
Left with no choice, Isabel tearfully agreed. On the wedding day, Eduardo gave Franco advice about marriage and starting a new chapter in life, while Isabel confided in Rebecca that what should have been the happiest day of her life had instead become the saddest.
Elsewhere, Samuel was dragged to a remote place where a grave had already been prepared for him. Franco, increasingly uneasy, worried that something might still go wrong, but both Gonzalo and Maximo reassured him.
Maximo casually revealed that Samuel was going to die, horrifying Franco, who pointed out that Isabel would never forgive them if she found out. Maximo dismissed his concerns, confident that Isabel would never learn the truth.
As Samuel was buried alive, Miranda anxiously feared the wedding might still fall apart, but Maximo assured her there was nothing left to worry about now that Samuel was gone.
Franco later admitted to his mother that this was not how he wanted things to happen. He had wanted Isabel to marry him out of love. Still, he promised he would take care of her and be a good husband now that Samuel was supposedly out of the picture.
Meanwhile, the priest who was supposed to officiate Samuel and Isabel’s wedding witnesses Samuel being buried alive. He secretly waits until the men leave before rushing to help.
At the same time, Isabel walked down the aisle, quietly telling herself that no matter what happened, her heart would always belong to Samuel.
Isabel and Franco exchanged vows, officially becoming husband and wife, though Isabel silently admitted to herself that none of the words she spoke came from her heart.
Elsewhere, a barely conscious Samuel continued murmuring Isabel’s name as the priest sends one of his men to Samuel’s home to tell them about Samuel.
The Severinos remained frantic with worry over Samuel’s disappearance. Elena eventually declared that once they found him, they would leave Salvacion forever, and no one objected.
Back at the wedding reception, Eduardo warmly welcomes Isabel into the family and tells her to think of both him and Miranda as her parents. He offers the newlyweds heartfelt advice as the guests cheer.
Unable to bear the celebration any longer, Isabel quietly excuses herself and leaves the table. Elsewhere, the priest’s messenger finally located the Severinos and informed Elena about Samuel’s whereabouts. Elena immediately rushed there with Mona and Calixto.
Meanwhile, Gonzalo ordered Isabel to act happy during the celebration. Isabel bitterly replied that whatever happiness people saw on her face could never compare to the anger and hatred she truly felt toward all of them. She demanded proof that Samuel was alive now that she had fulfilled her side of the bargain.
Gonzalo claims Samuel has already been released, but Isabel insists on seeing him herself. Gonzalo refuses and coldly tells her she will never see Samuel again. Isabel warns him that if she discovers anything happened to Samuel, she will leave Franco immediately.
Gonzalo assures her Samuel is alive and promises to provide proof only after she returns from her honeymoon. Meanwhile, Samuel regains consciousness just as Elena, Mona, and Calixto arrive. Mother and son break down in tears upon seeing each other.
The priest recounts the horrific torture Samuel endured, including being buried alive. He then advises Elena never to return to Salvacion, warning that powerful people may try to kill Samuel again. He suggests it would be safer if everyone believed Samuel was dead.
The priest also offers to help them hide in another town. Back at the reception, guests whispered excitedly about the powerful union between the Hidalgos and the Miravelez family.
While dancing with Isabel, Franco thanked her for not running away and promised he would patiently wait for the day she finally fell in love with him. Isabel coldly replied that he would be waiting forever because although she had married him in name, her heart would always belong to Samuel.
Elsewhere, Samuel insisted on seeing Isabel, convinced she was still waiting for him. Elena heartbreakingly revealed that Isabel had already married Franco. Samuel shattered completely, refusing to believe Isabel would ever betray him like that.
Elena could only hold her devastated son and beg him to forget Isabel because they would never return to Salvacion again. Later that night, Elena woke up and discovered Samuel dragging himself across the floor, desperately trying to leave despite his condition.
He insisted he had to save Isabel. Elena tried convincing him that Isabel was already married, but Samuel refused to give up. She tearfully told him that there was a right time for everything and promised that if fate allowed it, she herself would help him reclaim everything that rightfully belonged to him.
As she embraced her son, Elena silently thought to herself that if only Samuel knew the truth, he would understand that he was never meant to suffer like this, because he was a Hidalgo, a name that should have given him every right and freedom to love Isabel.
