No Greater Love Episode 4

“Isabel leaves for London as Samuel grows into a respected young man in Salvacion, while his influence over the workers begins to alarm Gonzalo.”

The episode begins with Isabel’s parents informing her of their decision to send her to London for her studies. Confused, Isabel asks her father if she has done something wrong, but Rebecca assures her that she has done nothing wrong and that they are doing this for her own good.

Isabel breaks down in tears, insisting she does not want to go, but Gonzalo remains firm and says the decision will not be changed. Elsewhere, Miranda tells Franco that Isabel is leaving for London, which surprises him.

Later, his grandfather encourages him to also study in London, promising to take care of everything after Franco explains that his parents had made no such plans for him. Isabel goes to Samuel’s house hoping to say goodbye before leaving the next day.

There, she meets Mona, who tells her that Samuel has gone out. Isabel asks Mona to tell Samuel to meet her at their usual play spot, as she will be leaving for London. Mona promises to deliver the message, but when Samuel returns, she says nothing.

Later, Mona asks her sister if she is a bad person, trying to convince herself that what she is doing is right, while Isabel waits in vain for Samuel to arrive. The next day, as the children are talking, Mona finally tells Samuel about Isabel’s departure.

Samuel runs after the car as it drives away, shouting Isabel’s name, but she cannot hear him. He falls to his knees as the car disappears into the distance. Mona asks why he is crying. Though he denies it at first, Samuel admits he is sad because he could not say goodbye.

Seeing how heartbroken he is, Mona promises that she will never leave him. In London, Rebecca is surprised to see Franco and Miranda, who have also brought Franco to enroll at the same school as Isabel. Miranda explains that they had planned to send him there since the previous year.

Later, Franco notices Isabel sulking and asks what is wrong. She says she wants to go home because she knows no one there. Franco reminds her that she has him, but Isabel snaps that she does not like him.

Knowing she is still upset, Franco reminds her of how close they once were and says he wishes things could return to how they used to be. He promises to always be there for her, especially now that it is just the two of them.

Back home, Eduardo admires Gonzalo’s new car and congratulates him, but warns that if they continue living extravagantly, the day may come when they, including landowners lose everything.

Meanwhile, Samuel’s grandfather speaks to him about Pacquito underpaying the workers and advises him to ignore it. Samuel, unable to stay silent, wonders if they will have to live like this forever. His grandfather assures him it will end one day when they own land of their own.

In London, Isabel continues insisting that she wants to return home, but her mother promises that she and Gonzalo will visit often. Miranda also tries to comfort her by saying that Franco will look after her.

Meanwhile, Mona is in tears because she too is leaving for Manila to continue her studies. Samuel reminds her that she is leaving to pursue her dreams. Mona says they will exchange letters, and Samuel makes her promise to return as a lawyer.

She jokingly adds that when she comes back, she will send Pacquito to jail. Mona and her sister say goodbye to Samuel and his family. Before leaving, Mona tells him to wait for her because she will come back, and if he doesn’t, she will hit him on the head ten times.

Time begins to pass, days, months, and years. Franco gradually grows closer to Isabel, always trying to be there for her, while Samuel teaches the farmers’ children how to read. As the years go by, Samuel often visits the old mansion where he once played with his friends, saddened by their absence.

Now a young man, Samuel runs to his mother proudly showing her the first honors he has received. His family and many workers celebrate with him, thanking him for teaching them to read so Pacquito can no longer cheat them.

Mona and Samuel reunite after years apart, both delighted to see each other again. Mona tells him she plans to stay in Salvacion. Samuel asks about her dream of becoming a lawyer, but she says she no longer believes it will happen.

Instead, she will use what she has learned to teach others. Meanwhile, Isabel tells Franco that she does not plan to pursue her master’s degree. Franco confesses that she is one of his dreams.

She jokes that she might be the reason he fails his studies, reminding him how hard he tries to make his father proud. Later, Isabel returns to her dormitory, where her friend teases her about Franco.

Isabel insists that Franco is only a friend, but when asked if there is someone else, she falls silent.
Back home, Rebecca confronts Gonzalo about neglecting their business and becoming consumed by gambling.

Enraged, Gonzalo strikes her, causing her to fall down the stairs. Isabel’s nanny later calls to inform her of what happened. In tears, Isabel goes to Franco and tells him she is returning to Salvacion because her mother has fallen down the stairs.

At the same time, Samuel and Mona having a good time together, just like when they were kids, and promise to always stay together.. As Samuel smiles while looking at the stars, Mona quietly gazes at him.

Elsewhere, Pacquito argues with the workers after they refuse to let him cheat them. Spotting Samuel, he accuses him of turning the workers against him and says he always knew Samuel would become a problem.

When Samuel talks back, Pacquito hits him and had to be restrained by the workers from attacking him further. Pacquito then goes to Gonzalo and says they must force Samuel to leave the ranch.

Franco tells Isabel that he has contacted people in the Philippines and learned that her mother is fine, but Isabel insists on returning, believing the nanny would not have called if it were not serious. Franco promises to go with her.

Meanwhile, Gonzalo becomes furious after learning Isabel is coming home, assuming Rebecca told her what happened. Rebecca denies it. Gonzalo then orders a servant to inform all the workers to prepare for Isabel’s arrival.

Pacquito gives every worker the day off except Samuel. The workers refuse to leave and insist on helping him, but Samuel assures them he will be fine. Later, Gonzalo sees some children being taught how to read and write by Samuel.

He summons Samuel and warns him to stop, saying educated workers will rise against him. Gonzalo then threatens that Samuel and his family will suffer the next time he tries to cause trouble.
