Irene’s Conundrum. Ling’s Quest for the Truth Hits A Dead End. Drama Unfolds As Annie Visits Her Son’s Home.
Bingo returns home with some gifts for his family and they begin grilling him for information about what happened with him and Ling. He laments over his mother’s abandonment and the lives she had ruined, which had affected the one person who means so much to him now.
Monching reminds him that he’s not to blame and Grandma Nene says that at least he gets to help Ling. Bingo sends Ling a text to check up on her but before she can reply, Charleston enters her room and makes it his mission to convince her to stop with her accusations against his mother.
Also, he urges her to stop digging up the past and let her mother rest in peace since there’s already an official report of her death. After Charleston leaves, Ling broods by herself, hoping against hope that it’s neither her eldest brother or father who k!lled her mother.
Unable to sleep, Bingo calls Ling on the phone and they agree to meet tomorrow to look for a space for their office and warehouse. Ling mentions that they need to start looking into her brother.
In the meantime, Wilson goes through some documents and when he finds one with Annie’s name signed on, he recalls the question Bingo had asked him before. Sherwin finds Charleston at a bar by himself and approaches him.
Irene is taken by surprise to discover that Snoop now works at the warehouse as a hardware assistant, courtesy of Aunt Cathy. She treats him with reservations but seems happy with his presence there.
However, that turns into bitterness once she sees him playing with Dara who had also been employed by Cathy. Ling takes Bingo to see a supposed friend of Charleston’s, a kickboxer known as Paulo.
In the guise of planning a surprise for her brother, she and Bingo put on an act and strive to get the guy to tell him what he knows. Paulo laments over something Charleston had done to him in November which had almost gotten him in trouble.
When they press for answers, he asks Bingo to fight with him. Ling instantly objects to it but Bingo decides to take the guy up on his offer, assuring Ling that he’ll be fine. Ironically, Irene indirectly reaches out to her sister for advice on how to deal with a repulsive guy her coworker likes.
Bettina sees right through her and urges her to find a distraction – a better guy because she might be falling in løve with the guy who repulses her. In the ring, Bingo gets in a couple of hits before Paulo overpowers him and wipes the floor with him completely, making Ling quite agitated.
It doesn’t take long for Snoop to invite Irene to join him for lunch. Irene holds herself back from accepting and turns him down, saying that he’s gross. Ling hurries into the ring and shoves Paulo away to check up on Bingo.
As she tends to him, Paulo comes over and teases them over how they behave like a couple even though they deny it. Ling gets annoyed and smacks the guy, a pathetic revenge for Bingo. Paulo finds it quite amusing and decides to answer their questions.
He reveals how Charleston had backed out of a business partnership he had shelled out a lot of money for two years ago. Since it’s not much to go on, he suggests that they should reach out to his ex-girlfriend for further information.
The downside is that he doesn’t remember her name. Charleston reaches out to Stephen for help in regards to Caroline, and learns of Gilbert’s connection to Bingo’s mother. In an interesting turn of events, Annie makes a surprise appearance at Grandma Nene’s place and takes in all the accolades of her son hanging on the walls.
Having reached another dead end, Ling asks Bingo to go and see his mother for her side of the story but Bingo doesn’t think she’ll tell him the truth. Meanwhile, Annie gets quite emotional when Monching and Nene tell her about the business her son is into.
She thanks them for taking him in and taking good care of him. She then offers them a blank cheque to compensate them but they turn it down. As Annie tries to convince them to accept it as a token of her appreciation, Bingo shows up with Ling and takes offense. Read Next Episode on Can’t Buy Me Love Episode 47
