“Greetings, fellow Binondo-ians! I’m Bingo, and I’m here to show you that with hard work, determination, and a little bit of Binondo flair, anyone can make it big!” The crowd erupts in cheers and applause, with his family and friends whoping and hollering in support.
Grandma Nene beams with pride, her eyes shining with tears, while Monching looks on with a proud smile. They wave their hands and scream Bingo’s name. Snoop goes up next and garners considerable response from the audience.
Meanwhile, Caroline arrives at the Chinese New Year party. She meets up with Jersey and tells her about her mission with Bingo to track down feather girl. Jersey gives her a look and insinuates that there’s something more to her wanting to see Bingo.
Bingo and the other contestants take turns strutting the catwalk. As Bingo performs a traditional dance solo, Annie who’s passing by observes for a while before carrying on. Wilson arrives with Cindy at the party and they go around exchanging pleasantries.
They proceed to greet Sherwin and when Wilson asks about his business offer, Sherwin notes that he’s open to work with him and his company. Bettina eyes Sherwin and later hangs out with him.
After all is said and done, Bingo asks when the winners of the event will be announced and he’s told that it’ll be during the countdown into the New Year. Cindy isn’t the least bit happy when Gina shows up at the party.
In no time, both women engage in an exchange of words that draws the attention of everyone. Clearly embarrassed, Wilson excuses himself and disappears. In the meantime, Ling begins to worry about Bingo when he doesn’t show up and Jersey urges her to relax.
Without warning, Stephen takes the stage and calls her to join him. He then sings her a song about how he feels about her. Everyone is wowed by his performance as Ling tries to take it all in. Annie makes her appearance and proceeds to her seat and Gina is shocked to see her.
At the pageant, Bingo is called as the 5th runner-up and since he’s nowhere to be found, Snoop steps in in his stead. Meanwhile, Bingo arrives at the party just in time to catch the tailend of Stephen’s performance.
The audience gives Stephen an applause after he’s done and he takes Ling aside to talk to her. Ling doesn’t give him an answer, saying that they should just enjoy the party. Once the countdown for the New Year strikes 1, Bingo reappears and Ling is all smiles when she sees him.
She walks over to him and after they exchange happy new years, Ling drags him to go and see the fireworks. Cindy talks things out with her husband and Annie spies with malice as they watch the fireworks together.
Ling introduces Bingo to Jonathan whose parents and company give grants to businesses. Stephen resurfaces and tries to undermine Bingo and take Caroline away but she snubs him and eventually slips away with Bingo.
Gina makes a futile attempt to find Annie since she’s already left the party by now. She leaves and texts Cindy to notify her. Alarmed, Cindy comes up with an excuse so Wilson will take her home right away. Bettina comes on strong at Sherwin and makes known her attraction to him.
She blows a fuse when the guy points out that she’s drunk. Ling watches the dragon dance performance with Bingo and makes him join the parade and dance with her, hopeful that both their wishes will come true.Read Next Episode on Can’t Buy Me Love Episode 36
