Bastian isn’t pleased to see Oscar in his house and his grandson, as well as Ambo and Elizabeth try to convince him that they need to help the president recover from his illness. Meanwhile, Lucas and Samuel express their disapproval of Cardo’s plan and Lolita shuts them up.

Thalia soon shows up and both women get into an argument as usual. This time, over Aurora whom Lucia fears would be the next target of Ignacio’s enemies.
Renato tells Arturo about his plan to trap Mariano in a bid to get an advantage over Lily. Mara goes to the church to find some solace and ends up running into Aurora. Aurora goes out of her way to get her to confide in her. Eduardo hangs out with his lackeys, hell-bent on getting his brother’s fortune at all cost, even at the detriment of his niece. Thalia goes to see Don Ignacio.
Recalling their history together, she begins to get resentful because he’s had a change of mind on account of his daughter’s return. In no time, Aurora returns to the hospital and when Lucia asks her to stay so she can take over her father’s businesses, she turns her down since she knows that they’re all from illegal operations.
Renato and Arturo buy off one of the workers at the Palace. Her job? To seduce Mariano. It doesn’t take long for her to get down to business. Diana has a talk with Roxanne about the cause they’re fighting for. While Cardo broods silently, Samuel and Lucas stare daggers his direction.
